ICL Vs BCCI
by sharan seetharam on Aug 21, 2007 04:43 AM  | Hide replies

For those who are Pro BCCI please read...

During the last election in BBCI... This is what the Court had to say. BCCI doesn;t not represent India. It is like a CLUB. Well what is ICL then... It is the same. IF ICL can show some professionalism and nurture some talent its well and good.

Why ICL?

Zee couldn't get the Telecast rights from BCCI for many reasons. So how can he make some money in telecasting cricket... There came an idea which was formulated in US of A Baseball. Form a different club and make money. Its simple logic. Its money and business.

As long as they can display some good quality entertaintment i am with both BCCI or ICL.

Some one said Representing India and all thise Bull shit. Well if that was the case then these betting scandals wouldn;t have come. So what matters to me is entertainment and what matters to them is money.

Win - Win for both...

Not Surprised
by KC on Aug 21, 2007 03:42 AM

Not surprised at list of players who have signed up...

apart from Dheeraj Jadhav and Ambati Rayudu not many had real chance ....
most of them are "past" players.

It will jolt some state team but definately it still has not got the people for whom I will pay and watch cricket.

Even the BCCI team is with semi retired players. Do you believe that the existing team can be called team india or team BCCI.

GREAT

Finally someone has BROKEN the MONOPOLY of the Crooks controlling BCCI.

BCCI benefits only its controllers - Board memebers, politicans and bureaucrats. And NOT cricket or Criket players.

Despite being rich - they have done very little to develop the game in India. Just created a monopoly.

One Hopes that ICL will BREAK this monopoly and give a chance for talented youngsters to be promoted.

I commend the courage shown by 44 Indian and other International Players!
by Juzer H on Aug 21, 2007 12:54 AM

I commend the courage shown by the 44 Indian cricketers, Inzamam, Yousuf, Razzaq, Imran Farhat, Klusener and Nicky Boje.
They had courage to take head on with their respective cricket boards.

I am waiting for the time when ICL's cricket will catch up with the standards of the 'English County Cricket', and India will be producing hoardes of quality world class cricketers.
Also, ICL's cricket will give us a break from watching the same tired lot of cricketers, in every form of the game.

With the reports of so many players joining ICL, lets hope things work out between ICL adn BCCI and talented players eventually are considered for selection for India..otherwise this wil become a circus full of exhibition tournaments and retired and players with no hope making millions...
