hi..why dont you accept that Dhoni is a much better player than Parthiv...and please do not start bragging about your state or region, instead consider India as a whole....

Not going by regionalism, but even going by neutral/rational thinking, I agree with what Einstein has said is correct.
Consider the case of Bhajji. he was included in team when hardly 17. he did not perform to his hidden talent initially and was dropped but only to be considered for selection subsequently (after 2-3 years, may be) and he became tormentor of the mighty Ausi.
Even Parthiv got a go at tender age of 17. Agreed that time, he cud not perform to his potentials. But even during those times, he showed glimpses of his talent when in his very first test, he remained unbeaten against Eng (in English conditions of swing bowling) and saved India from a sure defeat (similar to dhoni's role in first test in 2007). Think positive. He was hardly 17 then.
He proved his batting abilities not merely on flat batting pitches of india, but in all bouncy/pacy/swinging conditions n also against the bowlers like Andrew Nel who is no mean. He has been consistently performing and even in the Opening slot (like Karthik) as well, scoring big 100s in India-A tours. I think he opened for India also reasonably well.
He had some problem in his keeping during his initial period (but that is bcoz, he was always kept outside the ODI team and was left without any practice), but that also appears to have been sorted out by him and imagine, he had been considered the best talent by ex-cricketers. He is definitely a good option for wicket-keeping job.
Even in the days when no one thought b

Even in the days when no one thought beyond dhoni, karthik came in the picture in SA and showed his talent and made ppl to believe beyond dhoni. similarly plz dont discard any talent outrightly.
Not to demean Karthik or Dhoni, but as keeper, even specialists say they hv to improve a lot.
Please judge from objective angle. regards

parthiv patel is good for child's movie he cannot even lift the bat. after full swing he manages to take single run. so common Albert einstein as u are incapable of judging urself so u cannot judge a cricketer. we need robust, tall and deadly dangereous player now not a emotional writer or painter type of batsman. try to understand the game dear. but sorry days are gone for such a kiddish tpe of batsman. even tendulkar is finding hard to maintain his form against world's new generation fast bowlers.

Yuvraj has been ticked off for his poor attitude.People don't like gentlemen. They want someone with an attitude. So I say make Yuvraj the captain.People who do not like the polite nice Dravid will be happy.A Ganguly type person as captain will be around.Maybe this will get Yuvraj to focus more and be consistent. So when India go to Australia they will have a hard nosed captain. One tiny issue remains. How does Yuvraj get a place in the main Test team.Maybe he can replace Dhoni with Karthik to keepor replace Jaffer and open.

BCCI said in court that it is private body. Players represent only BCCI, not India. But still score card in matches played by BCCI team says as %u2013 India. They should stop this immediately.

Somebody should file a case in a court

i feel the choice of dhoni as captain is not right, iam not against dhoni - but it is hard for keeper to lead the team, wicket keeping job is tough and need more concentration so on top of this for him to concentrate field placing, bowling changes- this is not going to be sucessful, either he will be lacking in leadership or wicket keeping. if u see history of the game, no wicket keeper has come high with both these jobs. when u think of setting up future team, i dont understand why they want to pick dhoni as captain, he is already doing a fine job both as wicketkeeper and batsman, this is going to be unnecessary pressure putting on him.
**my choice at this moment would be karthik, but he is very young and inexperiance.
**but kaif is a good leader, but his form really affects, if he would have been in the team-it is easy choice.
**yuvi is very good player, but still not matured enough to lead the team.
so may be selectors would have chosen dhoni as they have no other choice.

Yes, you do have a point when you say that Dhoni has a tough and demanding job of keeping wickets. But I feel he should be tried as captain, because he is cheerful (unlike Dravid), likes challenges (unlike some seniors), comes from a centre other than traditional cricketing meccas and is young and learning.

In order that he can focus more on captain's role, Karthik should be made regular wicket keeper and Dhoni should be in the side only as a specialist batsmen besides handling captaincy.

That brings us to the question of whether Karthik should keep wickets and also open the innings. My idea is, he should bat down the order, say at 5,6 or 7. There are other openers for ODIs at the moment in the team (Gambhir, Sourav, Sachin).

Also, after Dravid's abject failure to win the test series in style (despite being assisted by raingods in the first test!) by not enforcing the follow on, he should be called back to India by BCCI.

Dravid deservs to be silenced as he insulted cricket lovers by commenting that ppl sitting in living rooms can make any comments. all ex-cktrs criticising him hv toiled their way on the field. this way he shows he is close minded not open to any positive criticism.
May be a sense of arrogance has crept in his mind.

India has won a hard fought series in England against England. This is good. However the main team has too many ageing stars. How to infuse fresh blood? It is good to have a shadow team or a-team wherein eackh member will challenge a team member in the main team.It could include-Parthiv Patel,Pujara as openers,Manoj Tewary at 3,Rohit Sharma at4,Yuvraj at 5,Badrinath at 6,Rawat at 7,Chawla at8,Irfan Pathan at 9,Ishant Sharma at 10 and Munaf at 11.Kaif,Suresh Raina could also be considered at 4 and 5.Ranadeb Bose,Pankaj Singh,VRVSingh could also contest. The idea is each member in the shadow team shd challenge the corresponding member in the main team.

The main team is taken as the team which played the last test at the Oval. The method of replacement shd be a batsmam or bowler shd get a continuous run of 6 innings.A batsman shd get an average of 40 to retain his place and a bowler 3 wkts on an average per innings.Whether they are oldies or not this rule shd apply.Suppose Tend averages only 20 in 6 innings, then Rohit sharma shd come in and likewise if Dravid gets below 40 on average Manoj Tewary shd play in his place.
