After WC, it was BAN & ENG. Those encounters were insignificant, however Dravid had more than needed bashing. It should stop now because India's real challange will come against SA, NZ, Pak, and SL. No one likes slow scoring. Selectors will have to drop atleast two or three senior batsmen to pave way for younger players. With his extraordinary batting skills Rahul Dravid still remains the dark horse. I hope he is not replaced.
I hate to see a captain ducking fearfully against bouncing killer ball. This will generate demoralizing fear in entire team.

Wadekar: Rahul Dravid as a captain has finally come full circle and now is able to implement what he wants. Previously his thoughts might have been influenced by that of the coach, but during the England series he was on his own. Bizarrely, each time we have won in England there was no coach.
Bedi: We do better without a coach. For too long they've been spoonfed and now that they are on their own they probably realised their responsibilities better. Dravid has done a reasonable job as a captain: either he has been very good and attacking or at times he gets defensive, but he is learning.
Sehwag: I was really impressed by Rahul's captaincy. It doesn't matter if you have the coach or not because it is the captain who handles things on the ground and Rahul carried the right changes at the right times with the bowling changes and the field positions.
Harbhajan: We haven't won anything much for quite some time now and credit must go to Rahul Dravid and the senior boys who took the responsibility and led ably on the field.

I agree with you on the need of coach. There is a need of a good coach, who can communicate with players and also handle media questions. It is not easy for captain to concentrate on his batting and bowling if he has to handle hyper active 24-hour news channel reporters. It was very evident when Dravid was asked questions regarding omission of Tendulkar and Ganguly from 20-20 matches. Also, the decision of not enforcing follow-on could have been handled better with the presence of good coach.
Congrates Team India for winning the test series out of sub-continent. It was all team effort, not involving any hand of captain Dravid in favor of winning the match and series. Off course his biggest hand in the 3rd test, 2nd inninngs where he didn't enforce follow-on, and took over 90 balls for his 12.
Saurav captaincy records are swollen wins on foreign soil 4 against Bangladesh and 3 against Zimbabwe
In case of Dravid 1 aganist Bangladesh
now calculate ..... Stats tell half truth.
yes if we remove those insignificant series then as captain saurav wins are 4 out of 21 and Rahul as captain 4 out of 15.
instead of enjoying tussle between bat and ball these guys want Saurav as captain. Many take different id's and post those hate Rahul messages which I dislike. God knows when they will start enjoying game. Since Saurav was dropped they have spoiled joy of cricket with this false prapoganda. They have spoiled their own joy as well as other cricket fans.

The recent series in England proved that our younger cricketers are coming of age which is as it should be if we are to progress. None too soon we will have to find replacements to fill in the gaps with the possible retirement of some of the seniors and it is therefore good to see the emerging stars on the horizon. I am sure the 20 World cup will throw up more names.
BRING SAURAV AS THE CAPTAIN OF INDIA. HE NOW LEARNED AND HE IS SO MATURED THAN EARLIER. LET HIM LEAD OUR TEAM FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS TILL THE NEXT WORLD CUP. HE IS SO AGGRESSIVE AND A GOOD PLACYER. REMOVE THE COOL DRAVID FROM CAPTAINCY.

guys let sourav be where he is at the moment. as far as captainship is concerned, i agree that he is a very aggresive captain and he can lead the team fantastically, but his own form suffers then. His form looks better when he is not the captain. and Indian public wants to now see ganguly as a performing player and not as a successful captain who cannot perform.

yes! i feel that Dravid's decision was perfectly fine. rather than trying to kill 2 birds at a time, u end up losing the one that u have in hand. tha's not a good ploy. What dravid did was for the good of the team and he is truly the right choice as a captain.

India was able to reach the second place if this cool Dravid and his decision taking team has not took such a foolish decision for not enforcing Follow on to England. Last Test was completely at the hand of India. When there is 300 and above runs to score for England and there is two more days left. This was an anti cricket lovers decision they took and the match drawn. India just escaped from the hands of England due to the weather in England. Second match was a team work definitely. In that also Dravid dont have any part as a Captain. He is a low rate Captain and BCCI has to take decision fast to remove this guy from the Captaincy in Test and ODI. He is obviously a good player but nothing to congratulate him for his captaincy. It is contempt that he hold the Series cup in hand.

Yes, Dravid might have taken huge money just like Mr. Negi who was INDIA's Hockey goal keeper in 1982 Asiad and gave 7 goals to PAKIS and there were rumours that he charged 1 lakh IND Rs. for each goal!

It was the matter of judjement, his integrity should not be questioned. Dravid played a safe gamble between two options,
1 win, 1 fair draw, 1 draw (very very narrow escape for England)
2 wins - 1 draw (very very narrow escape for India)
I do not feel it honest at my heart to support Dravid bashing.
