Whether we sack Chappel or not, we must reinstate Sourav Ganguly as the captain of our cricket team immediately. Yes, immediately. In his illustrious career Sourav took India to dizzy heights. In the past two decades India never really had an aggressive captain except Sourav Ganguly. Only he can inspire our current players to deliver. His statistics are great in both versions of the game and that too both as a player as well as a captain. If we donn't bring him back India is going to continue to meekly surrender to their opponents in every tournament. Even the captain will continue to meekly surrender to the coach. And this is very very harmful to Indian cricket. Bring Sourav back so that we can once again raise our heads with pride. Another important factor is that besides being aggressive in nature, Sourav is definitely going to put in his best now. Because he will go in with a burning desire to resurrect his own career and the Indian cricket team's pride and win the world cup by dethroning the mighty Australians. Let us remember that in the past few years Sourav has been the only captain throughout the world who has actually stood out against the Australians. God bless our team.
A coach would identify the weakness & strengten then them, identify the strength & fine tune it....but it's left to Indian players to focus on these areas consistently...so what the team india requires is consistency...generate Winning Habit!
The divorce is coming more than a year too late. Atleast Sourav, belatedly, stands vindicated. Be Indian, behave Indian, do Indian - that's all I would add.
it is not fair to blame coach alone for indias poor show.after all it is the players who perform in the middle.at the same time chappel completly destroyed the morale by his mindless changes and favortism towards certain younger players.but barring 2 or 3 all the other players were average in fielding.keeping kumble out is his worst mistake.pathan is another blue eyed boy in his eyes.on the whole the team chose wrong tactics and poor man management and the result is exit from a tournament conducted in sub continent.sachin is surely past his best and once again when the team needed him in a crunch match he failed.
Why we can't tke decision on current performance. Like peresent performance of India team needs a change in strategy and coach. Y we say after worldcup? Y not after the performance of ICC Champions trohy.
I expect Dilip ji to be more positive. Plz do save the Team India. I don't see any improvement after Sourav left the team. We even can't play finals. Forget to be runner's up.
