Azhar my great player of the cricket
by Vinayak Mankame on Dec 22, 2008 11:03 AM

It was a very sad that BCCI and ICC had put a ban on Azharudin which has not only spoiled the career of him but also lost a most successful captain for India. Under his leadership Indian team was very comfortable and was able to defeat any team in the world. We never find any captain after him and he deserve his place back in Indian team. Also request BCCI to lift the ban immediately and should involve him all the functions which are related to Cricket or the board. I Thank BCCI for considering to lift ban on Azar better not to speak about the past , we want to see him in the field let his bat speak hope for the best and see u soon Azar on the field Good Luck!!!!

Azhar is one of the finest and talented crickter of india and imposing a life ban without any concrete evidence is injustice to him and his career the the ban should be immediately lifted and he should be allowed to play his 100th test match

Azhar's Ban

In the given circumstances in 2000 year the decision taken may be right but as for the ban it shouldnt have life ban imposed . Always politics has been a part of games .
The Lele statement has just proved that the decision then was just not right.

In this case Let Azhar be given a fair chance to play a one day and retire from indian cricket gracefully. Also let Ganguly be given a chance for no body knows ,Azzu's experience and Ganguly's daring may just pull India's hope in the World cup .Not to forget Jadeja's contribution tooo.......

Life ban of Azhar
by Mohiuddin Kabir on Oct 26, 2006 11:26 AM

Life ban of Azhar Uddin is not necessery. Because many players do this but no body take step. So it seems it is a political motivated ban.

No matter it was late but Azza has got his pride back officially, but for his fans it was, it is, it will be forever. Shame on BCCI and ICC.

Highly Condemnable is the only way one can describe Mr.JYLele's current opinion on Azhar's ban.Having been a party to the"original act(SIN,now, according to him)",he seem to be the same old fumbling man.Having very little to show of cricketing understanding all thru his tenure(and now cannot claim to be better off),this man goes on saying""In its report, CBI only suspected Azhar to be involved in the scandal for his frequent telephonic talks with a bookie. But this can't prove that he had fixed matches,".The very fact that a bookie is spoken to frequently during match period is a circumstantial evidence unless that bookie is a close relative or better still a brother of the accused.Pardon is a meaningful word only if the accused accepts guilt or is cooperative in getting at the truth, but does not entirely plead ignorance to evidence presented to him.Current and past office bearers of BCCI will do well if they do not try and defend any cricketer punished for a well defined crime and they should know that a young career can be made if one guilty leaves the arena; and those indulging in such acts are highly greedy of money and must face the consequence.THE GAME is GREATER than PLAYER
