More has done it again! If Mongia finds a place in the squad owing to his county performances, so do Zaheer Khan & Saurav Ganguly. Excluding Kumble from the squad is nothing sort of stupidity as he is not only India's best bowler, he had better averages with the bat in comparision to Yuvraj or Dhoni in the West Indies series. More seems to have made the team selection affair his personal affair.
Personally, I think this is a very good team. Welcome back Mongia and he deserves another chance. He is doing well in UK.
One question remains is about Z.Khan and I guess it is between Z.Khan Vs R.P. Singh. Not too sure which will be a good one?
Also, everybody talking about Z.Khan doing great in UK but I have to say he is not he has taken wickets on some bowler friendly weather and wicket than on hot days. He is giving too much runs for every single wicket.
He is a good bowler and he needs to be corrected properly to achieve the best in his career. There is a good sign that L. Balaji might be back from injury. It will be good to have him.
Tendulkar's inclusion is justifiable but how come Mongia comes to the picture. It is stated that based on his performance abroad. But as far as I know, he failed miserably over there. Hats off to our selectors and Chairman of selection committee MORE. He himself was an incompetent cricketer and selects the team members likewise.
Its very sad that Venugopal Rao is missing. Infact he hasnt got any chances to prove himself in ODIs. Where as Kaif and now Mongia are getting plenty of chances. what the hell selectors are selecting the players. We will see how they will perform in the Tringular series.

Instead of seeing his past performance we should consider his present form which is not up to the mark for his selection in the Indian cricket team. It would have been better for selectors had they give one more chance to J.P. Yadav, at least he deserve up fair chance to prove his worth in the Indian Cricket team. He has been performing consistently in the domestic cricket for the many year. On the basis of domestic performance he is India No. 1 rounder. He should be given 1 more chance
ajit agarkar..in a forward looking team is the most baffling selection...he seems to wriggle his way into the team every time, but unfortunately...we don't need a player just to take 3 wkts at the end of a match....something more...why agarkar when guys like zaheer and balaji sit out???
As usual influence does play a part...... in our country's selection What's wrong with V.Rao Or Uthappa? AGE?????? or talent.We shud learn from Australia & how Steve waugh was removed....India may be be better off if we hv Test Teams A,B & C... as we are a sub continent like Europe
