I agree with wadekar that it is better for ganguly to retire. You cannot accomodate him at the cost of a specialist opener & making dravid to open the innings. Now that yuvi is not playing he can be accomodated. He can be in the team as a substitute for lakshman who suddenly goes out of form. But media &wb lobby should not crib if he is not in the playing eleven.

This is unlawful!

Sourav has proved himself in difficult times of indian cricket and I want everyone to remember the one who formed this victorious team. Sourav deserves a rightful place in the team despite his poor run.. there are players who faced even more patches than this and this is not the right thing to do against only the third man to score 10000 runs in international cricket.

Pls don't forget his basting
by Anand on Feb 21, 2006 04:09 PM

We won't really happy to watch matches with out Ganguly. He is one of the best batsman in the world.

We knew that he did wrong (may be his bad time) but do you think the other team members are doing always right things? No. Everybody has their own problems & things to be corrected.

We don't know that Ganguly is a good MAN, but everybody knows that he is good All-Rounder. We like his bating style & . We request ICC to give him one more chance to play.

What ever is happening to ganguly is certainly
not right. He is not been given a right opportunity,
and the people are just interested in getting him out
of the team it is just as simple as that.

For instance he was dropped from the test squad
in pakisthan when is was still performing.

But compare this with the opportunities provided
to sachin. Sachin was given more opportunities
to prove himself and he proved.
But why is the same opportunity not given to sorav
It is totally In Just to a best captian of India.

why is everyone OBSESSED with Saurav. If he plays well he will be back in the team no matter what. If he does not play upto the mark, It will be difficult to get back to the team. Let me alone .....

Yes. This is not correct.
We don't want to miss the best player like Ganguly.

We trust he will prove if you give a change. Everybody knows about his performance & one of the best Player. India (ICC Team) should allow him to play. We want to watch Cricket with Ganguly. We now-a-days don't feel good team/match when we watch Cricket match (even India win the match).

I agree with Adarsh 100 percent. Surya Chandra is unnecessarily backing Ganguly. With respect of the present form He is definitely out of form in comparison to the present youngsters and cannot at all compete with them either in Batting bowling & fielding. I would be best for him to give way to them respectfully without giving any opportunity to people to disrespect him and thus end the controversy.

Hello Surya

Did you just say Sachin had to prove himself? Hello? What? He does not have to prove anything to anybody, ok? And for Ganguly, when was the last time he hit a good score in ODIs? It was in the world cup 2003 against those infant teams. And when was the last time he scored some valuable runs in test match? Against Aus in Brisbane in 2003. In 2004 and 2005 Ganguly did not do anything right. His captaincy was sub standard and his arrogance at its peak. He got what he deserved.

We, crores of true "Dada" supporters wish that a fair chance be given to a "great player" & "most successful captain" of India. But it's very sad that he won't be offered that opportunity. If one doesn't know how to respect a cricketing Legend, atleast, don't insult him

It is better to be called arrogant or aggressive,
instead of being a puppet under some one.

Excellent Message from Ajit Ji. He is the first person amongst cricketers who appears to have a vision about where India's future lies.

Bravo !!!!!
