Hats off to Warneyyyy ( sydney 1992 to Sydney 2007)
by karthick prabhu on Dec 21, 2006 03:42 PM

Well he started his carrier as a rookie leg spinner against india and hammered all over the park by Shastri n Tendulkar. From then he had all the cricketing n non cricketing things in his armoury. he is a real champion bowler in any track and we the real cricket fans really miss his flippers.

Shane ! Sheer magic
by AMIT MATHUR on Dec 21, 2006 03:17 PM

He is undoubdebtly magic, illustreous and fantastic records tells us all, 700 test wickets is something unbeleivable for a spinner & that too without any major on feild controversy like Murali. He is a true fighter & a big heart player. He has done a tremendous job for his nation which has produced so many great players and he is amongst the top. But, I being an Indian is very proud that he couldn't do much against us. Still I salute him for what he has done to Cricket over the years.

Warne...
by Relative on Dec 21, 2006 03:05 PM

Shane warne was perhaps one of the most colourful, ifnot the greatest, characters to ever step into the cricketing field.
He was singlehandedly responsible for revitalizing the dying art of Leg-Spin.His wonderful rivalry with Sachin n Lara was the stuff of the legends..
" Cricket will be poorer without you,Warne,Adieu."

warne the great
by deepak on Dec 21, 2006 02:54 PM

Its sad for the game of cricket with the retirement of shane warne possibly the greatest ever leg spinner ever produced in the history of the game called cricket.A prodigy and a talented spinner who lived upto and more than the expectations of fans and austrialian cricket, shane warne will be thoroughly missed. The void left by this great leg spinner and a crowd pullerwill be hard to fill.No player since bradman has attracted so much attention on or off the feild. It must be added that it was always a joy to watch warne bowl. There is no debate over the fact that he was a master of leg spin.Nobody possibly can ever fill the gap of warne a genius and this is for sure you won't see another warne on the feild. The whole cricketing world was waiting for him to reach the milestone of 1000 wickets.Hope he reconsiders his retirement. The best regards from his fans for his future

Shane Warne-retirement
by sandeep shivane on Dec 21, 2006 01:47 PM

Its good that shane warne is hanging his boots when he is really in top form.He is retiring on his own conditions...great.I really hope he reaches the mammoth landmark of 700 wickets. This shall be record,I am sure, which will inspire many future ballers to better it.
I would consider myself lucky to have witnessed one of the great 5 cricketers of the 20th century play the game of cricket.
I am sure he shall be remembered more for his on-field magic with the cricket ball than for his other forgetfull off-field escapades.

Greatest Bowler of century

Shane Warne is without doubt the finest legspinner the world has ever seen. You would certainly have Warne right up there as one of the greatest Australians to ever step on the field."

May be. Since he took max wickets on weak teams against spinners as he played many games with them, yes, they are the world and he is the greatest for those nations. Shameless attitude of praising a drug maniac, where the racism prevailed over integrity of the game. He is a shit as he sledges a lot than the number of balls he bowled. So if his sledges entertained you. Be happy

no doubt a great player
by Harish on Dec 21, 2006 01:34 PM

no doubt a great player. they know when to say bye...he was a pleasure to watch...he used almost every trick possible in leg spin. he, murali and kumble spin a must factore. all varied but really enjoyable. Saw the first match he played on TV and he really worked hard. but then gatting's ball...a spin and the way ball dipped. he was good infact very good. i guess he retiring bad for the game good for other teams especially england:)
