My view is that Chappell is the only person who was able to bell the cat finally. For some reason (may be for his job security) John Wright could not do so. At present Ganguly is not fit to be in the Indian side but it is difficult to understand why the selectors have kept him in the side and more worse of it, they have made him captain. The outcome of the review comittee was foreknown. They only met in Mumbai just to maintain fromality. May be at present the mattrer seems to be normal but what Chappell has done it will definitely help the Indian Cricket in future. Well done Chappell !!!

Mr.L, that Greg has not resigned yet in spite of virtual negation of all his charges by BCCI speaks volume of the psychology of a liar. Had he been honest enough during his ego-battle (nothing more than that) with Sourav, he would have already flown to Australia to keep his head high. Its time Greg understands the Indians mentality who hold top positions and restrict himself to coaching Indian Cricket Team. He should take his pay packet till 2007 regularly and should not care whether Indian Cricket team performs well or not. Greg must be shrewed enough by now to play his role according to Indian bosses mentality.
After all Mr. Mahendra said that both Coach and Captains mouths have been sealed from addressing the press and the Board officials are no exception and they may also not care for the press or the nation !!!!!!!!! As of now, Ganguly won purely on the basis of BCCI Politics and Mr. Dalmia. But, Can Ganguly win matches on his performance? Can Ganguly walk to bat in the indian stadiums without Boo's from the crowd? Remember last time he batted in India, the crowd boo'ed Ganguly in the ODI's against pak, before he was banned from playing the rest of the matches in that series. It is interesting to see, how long Ganguly will play in those circumstances in the home stadiums. Today, Gavaskar jumped to rescue ganguly saying that Ganguly is hard worker blah blah. after hearing the final statement made by the bcci, i hesitate to say im proud to be an indian... its disgusting to see how the bcci closed the chapter in favour of ganguli... i myself feel that chappel should resign and take the 1st flight to australia if he has some respect left.. that will be the best answer to our so called highly respected 6 men bcci comitte...
It's not between coach and captain. It's actually between selfish politicians like Ganguly+Dalmiya and a geniune coach (read Chappel). Jokers like Jagmohan Dalmiya and Ganguly are real winners. What happenned to charges put forth by Chappel ... nothing. Ganguli had an hour's phone call with Dalmiya and everything was swept in the carpet. What happenned to a serious indiscipline by Harbhajan .. nothing. Ganguly had an hour's call with board official and everything was made ok. What happenned to email leak? nothing .. jokers ensured that. What happenned to saurav's leak to media .. nothing. It's nothing but a tamasha of jokers, jokers and just jokers. The only sad sight is that dignified people like Gavaskar, Shastri and Venkat are made to be a part of this drama.
