Ganguly must retire at this stage
by Naresh Dalal on Sep 23, 2005 12:26 PM

The performance shown by the Ganguly by Bat and by words shows that he must retire at this stage for the goodwill of TEAM INDIA. We are playing with Ten player and One Captain but all other team are plying with Eleven Players. So, it the time to take any best decision by the BCCI in favour of TEAM INDIA.

Yo u r doing great job Mr. Chappell
by Amod on Sep 23, 2005 12:25 PM

This is great thing to happen. I have been following cricket for so many years, this is first time that coach has voiced out the truth without any diplomacy even after evidently knowing that he could have to face consequences of this email. If the worst happen (Chappell is asked to leave) loss will be to India and Indian cricket.

Difference between Indian Cricket and Australia Cricket is

With only LUCK on India side, India can win the match.

With only LUCK on Australia side, Australia can loose the match.

Well Done Greg
by NAGRAJ K V on Sep 23, 2005 12:24 PM

Sir

Greg Chappel has done which no Indian could have done.

Dare to take up on the paper tiger.

Evbery man in the stret knows that Ganguly is a misfit. Still it is amazing how this man clings on to his position.

Same thing happened with Azar. He played on and on and on...

The selectors are not neutral and are not a brave lot.

Sack all the selectors and make a one man selector with neutral men like Gundappa vishwanath or Ravi shastry.

Ganguly unfit to lead
by SMK MENON on Sep 23, 2005 12:24 PM

Ganguly cannot consider himself indispensable anymore, his performance speaks for him. He should be sitting in the pavilion watch better players play cricket and chew on his nails. The Board of cricket control in India should look for a player who is sincere and has leadership qualities to lead the team. Players like him and Scahin are overboard and they should retire gracefully and should not be involved in any process of cricketing either selection or advisory for a period of 5 years atleast.

Ganguly unfit to lead - Chappell
by Ananth on Sep 23, 2005 12:24 PM

It is really sad to note that media, who are ALWAYS in the limelight - 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, does not respect confidentiality of reports and leaks out all information, thereby creating a storm in the cricketing fraternity.
How would the media react, if confidential reports within the media fraternity, are leaked out and their competitors take advantage? Will this be digested by them? Any replies Sir?

Ganguly unfit to lead
by K.K. Tuteja on Sep 23, 2005 12:16 PM

This should have happened earlier. Ganguly is totally unfit to lead the team. His body language at ground speaks it itself, how proudy he is. While batting also he is always in a hurry to go back to the dressing room. The century in first test against Zim was just a tukka in anger.

Nothing wrong with the email sent by the coach
by Sujit Apte on Sep 23, 2005 12:13 PM

All throughout the captain Mr. Ganguly has been behaving like a small child, who is not allowed to play. He wants the team to be disciplined and bound with the team rules but does not want to follow them himself.

As the article in the Afernoon newspaper referred to him as a Joker. He is out to prove them right. Ganguly is given importance which he does not deserve. He is the SPOILT BRAT of the Indian Cricket Team, and the board is backing his unhealth ways for no reason.

Ganguly has not reached a stage where he can question the character of a person of the calibre of Mr. Chappell. I think Ganguly needs a thorough MEDICAL CHECK with extra emphasis on the Psychological tests.

He surely needs an break and should be sent on long leave.

Saurav....
by Vijay B on Sep 23, 2005 12:13 PM

If you go by the News Paper reports....

He is really great! Feel, he should be eased out of playing eleven and make him Administrator.

He is no better than J Dalmiya.

If we look at the Sports in India, its the Jagmohan Dalmiya, KPS Gill, Verma (BAI), Khanna (Tennis) have done more harm than good to the Indian Sports.
