The referee, Broad and the umpires (including that 'great' Bucknor) reported that Harbhajan's action is questionable when he bowls the doosra. They feel that he bend the arm more than that is allowed. If the referees and the umpires could spot it, why could not the Pakistani batsmen spot it? Wouldn't Woolmer be bang on target on something like this and expose it to his players? The truth is if the bending is so glaring the batsmen should pick that up and should not get out. There would not be any purpose for Harbhajan to bowl. Come on! For God's sake, he just came back from the chucking tests clearing them. Broad, Bucknor and Co. should be sued! We should put an end to such iron-handedness. Watch out for some South African playing colour cards in his country who is soon to become the ICC president. God save Cricket!
very very unfair. steve bucknor should be banned for one year from umpiring. he is unfair particularly against india.first he must be sent to learn the rules and regulations.
My 2 cents. 1. A lot of hue and cry is being raised over Chris Broad and the umpires reporting Harbhajan's action. One thing is very clear. There is nothing in the ICC rules that stops a referee and/or umpires to report a bowler for a suspect after he has been cleared. In fact the ICC rules state that very clearly. The bowler is not exempt from being called again just because his action has been cleared in the past. Whether it is the first match after clearance or the 100th match, the bowler can still be called. So Broad was well within his rights to report Bhajji's action he and/or the umpires thought there was a problem. Let us stop whining about unfairness etc. and act to change the rules if we have a grouse to settle. Yes it may be unfair to bowlers, but then life has no guarantees, does it? 2. Secondly, with the the ICC adocating the use of technology, why not use this same technology during a match to film bowlers during the match. The Match referee and/or umpires can check the footage from here and decide if they want to report a bowler. 3. Personally - I think Harbhajan's action is suspect - but that is besides the point and just my subjective personal opinion.

I agree with you mate. I am Rohit Bhagade. A Chartered Accountant working in Mumbai. Nice to know someone who is frank enuf to express his opinion. Do mail me.
Yes, the ICC was totally unfair to Bajji...ask those panel members to check the actions of Afridi, Lee, Akthar....all are chuckers and everybody knows that, but no action against them...
The conclusion of the referee that the turn of the wrist is more than 15 degrees or more at the time of delivery in match situation, makes disgusting reading. Also we have been observing that whenever a bowler gets more than 5 wickets( especially from the Asian continent/ and are making a mark and this includes batsman about to create records)the umpires from the other playing nations are particularly crual.Let us hope that this kind of partisan attitude does not force the Asian continent countries to form a separate ICC of their own.
