Harbhajan's bowling
by Chintan Buch on Mar 25, 2005 10:05 PM

Harbhajan's bowling was not an issue but it has been made by match refree MR. Broad. If ICC was not satisfied with Harbhajan's bowling than whhy did they gave him a clean cheat? Any way because of it Harbhajan made differnt kind of hattrick in World cricket.

Insult of ICC by Umpires/ Bhaaji bangs without ''Doosra''
by J S Jolly on Mar 25, 2005 07:59 PM

I think it is an insult of ICC by the umpires. They have tried to convey to ICC that we give a damn to your techno-experts and their reports. Our eyes are capable of seeing better than computer's lenses and we can measure th bend of arm in real time which takes a week for the computer to analyse.
Harbhajan, my dear fellows is only a pawn in the game.

Don't forget that The Famous West Indies Umpire has been in difficult relationships with players of the subcontinent even earlier. He might have umpired in 100 tests but t heart he is a footballer (agressive footballer).

But, all kudos to Bhaaji- he took 6 wickets today without bowling a single "doosra". You must be genius to do that when under such scrutiny.

very unfair even after ICC has cleared
by swaminath on Mar 24, 2005 09:10 AM

hi,
This is swaminath writing this mail. This is very unfair to suspect Harbhajan's action even after the ICC has cleared .
one more thing i want to share i.e. regarding umpire decisions . When the players make some mistakes on the field like absuing the opponents, low bowling rate , running on the main pitch etc they will be penalised heavily. Then why not the umpires are not punished in that way when they give wrong decisions often. Can't they approch 3rd umpire for difficult decisions or they feel below diginity or what .
this issue should be disscused very seriously.
by,
swaminath.

It is panic on any international cricketer for such complaints.........
by kamalakar on Mar 23, 2005 11:30 PM

I stronly oppose the ICC rules and regulations which are seviourly affecting the talents of good crickters. it is not only in the case of Harbajan Singh, also was in the case of Muttahi Muraidharan and many. these players will work hard throughout their lifes and come out with success after lot of selections to get in to the mark of thier country cricket team.
It is really unfaire of the ICC to give an open rule to deliver the umpires decissions in the media and between the players. as the players will be disturbed throughout the match or series. they have to make a decission after some cautions or remarks with the players.
It is really panic for Bajji, as he was just undergone the test of his delivery and come out with smile after a great test. if the umpires can decide with their eyes on the field, what for these tests are for? It is really panic in the case of murali, as his photos was shown for audience with lot of varities which we may not see even for animals nowadays.
it is shame on the part of ICC, they need to take serious actions so as to save the cricket and so that in future the young should not afrid of playing cricket because of these changing attitude of umpires.

Harbhajan's bowling action
by anthony rebello on Mar 23, 2005 09:28 PM

I think it is ridiculous on the part of the match referee after Bhajji was cleared by ICC. I have noticed and follow cricket very closely. I feel that ICC is biased and they always target asian players. Shoib Aktar, Rajesh Chauhan , Murli, Shoeb Malik and now Bhajji.....

Shame on ICC.. Have a look at Brett Lee's, James Kirtley's action.........they are big time chuckers.

report on Harbajan
by venkataramana on Mar 23, 2005 08:39 PM

it is very unfortunate that match referies have been given so called king of kings powers to make allegations against players. When a person passed all the tests being conducted by ICC how can he be different at this point in time and can be questioned. remember that Harbajan is not questioned it is India being questioned again and again.

Let all of us support harbajan and protest against a decision taken by match reffery

Harbhajans Action
by ameya on Mar 23, 2005 08:09 PM

I think that this is the usual white phobia the Match refrees have.Just because they have nothing else to do ,they pick up bowlers for misconduct and suspected actions. No one ever talks about Brett Lee´s bowling action or about the infamous blast by Ricky Ponting in the Mumbai Test against India when he claimed a catch of Rahul Dravid. The match refree that time didnt utter a word about the whole incident. Why these double standards ?? I think its high tíme that the ICC does something to check these double standards of the match refrees.

BHAJJI!!!
by ROHIT B on Mar 23, 2005 08:08 PM

I dont think that the Match Referee was cruel on Bhajji. Actually, we need to take into account the role of match referee in Cricket. He is the one who monitors the game and he is the one who has to take crucial decisions. Sometimes decision can be harsh on players. But we need to consider the amount of pressure that is there on the match referee.

I would say that it was a little harsh on Bhajji, but you cannot blame the Match Referee for that.
