simply either icc should not clear a bowler and if it does then it should make its match refrees stop reporting them again.its pathetic one system clears a bowler and somebody calls him a chucker. icc should make it apoint to teach its refrees the grounds on which it had clearedthe bowler and stopmental harresment of good bowler like bajji

Racist Attitude
by Vijay on Mar 23, 2005 06:09 PM

This is a clear indication of Racist attitude against Indians. Bowling actions of White people like Bret Lee and Grant Flower too are controversial, but they are never referred to ICC for suspected bowling action. If they are referring him for the 15 degree limit, I reckon many white bowlers will fail but not Bajji.

Bhajji
by JS Raman on Mar 23, 2005 05:12 PM

I am of the opinion that his action is suspect and this is my personal opinion. However what is baffling is as to how the umpires and the match referee were able to declare the "doosra" as illegal and verified the violation as being more than the permissible 15 degrees, with naked eyes(with dark glasses on in the case of the 2 field umpires). There is a definite bias against the players from the sub- continent and Broad is only carrying forward from where Mike Denness left.

Hi Bajji

Asain players are very good in spin bowling and it is always difficult to play spin for non-asain players. That's why ICC has objected Bajji. Before they have taken up Chauhan. Don't worry Bajji, ur great,

ICC is becoming "Nautanki". Whole world knows India had produced world's best spinners over the years. Bhajji also had very good training under legendary spinners why should he bowl with defective action? ICC's allegations are indirectly challenging BCCI, as if India is choosing a bowler with wrong action. I still dont understand what the problem umpires has, whether it is against doosra or overall action of Bhajji? Doosra was being used by few other bowlers too, why to pick only bhajji then? Funny thing is the umpire who can not make out whether batsman was out or not is reporting Bhajji's action, I mean what sort of credibility is there?
BCCI, and Indian team management has to take stern stand over the issue and take it to permenant solution.

bhajji reporting unfair
by satyan israni on Mar 23, 2005 05:04 PM

i personally feel that these non-asian umpires and referees are biased against our asian players. why is that shoaib, murali and bhajji are constantly being pulled up and reported? why arent the aussies, english, black caps or the windies being penalised? its the asian teams which are bringing in the big bucks and more specifically, india. i think its high time india started using its financial muscle to keep these jonnies quiet once and for all.

Not Fair

It is a highly undesirable act on part of ICC. If someone can ok muralitharan's action of bowling than i believe everybody's actions are automatically cleared. I wonder why always ICC has a tough stand on India

when in the recent past he was cleared in Australia I dont Understand what the Mr.Broad has seen. He did not view with BROAD mind. The great Buckener has no right to judge. He lost credibility to act as an Umpire. He is prejudiced on India.

Umpires/Match Referees Ruling ICC
by Clifton on Mar 23, 2005 04:42 PM

It's a shame on ICC. Once cleared by the officials thru' bio-mechanic tests, there has to be a full stop on the Umpires & Match Referees from raising or blowing up an issue over and over again.

ICC authorities need to realise their primary responsibilities & not merely look on as a spectator to be made the scapegoat. Obviously, it's high time that they silence their critics.
