Why can't we just allow Ganguly to decide if he's got it in him to continue for another 2-3 years. He's the best judge of himself, not any one of us or not even Greg Chappell for that matter.
It has almost started to look pathetic that we even need someone like Saurav Ganguly in Indian team. They guy has not performed at all in last 3 years. Obviously, he did play few good innings, but hey, give me a chance for three years in Indian team and I will be able to do the same and better,,,, its time for an Australian exit,, like what happenned to Steve Waugh and Darren Lehmann and most recently, Graham Thorpe,,, Steve waugh once said that a captian has a maximum of 5 years, after that he needs to re-invent himself or pass the baton,, its same like generation gap,, a generation changes after every 5 years,,, we need to understand that his job is done,, he has shown the way and at present he is not up to the level he is required to be as the Captain of Indian cricket team,,, as I said,, Its Time.. to go,, before things get more ugly and if he continues, they will........
Sourav's contribution is immense to Indian cricket as a player and captain. We may talent to replace him but how far the repalced palyer is sucessful is a question mark. His county stint is more than decent. I feel he will regain his lost glory as player and captain. We all talk about giving all players reasonable chance to prove themselves. We have to some more reasonable time to prove himself again at International level. I think he should be back with a bang.
