i totally agree with the comment that badpatch can't be for 2-3 yrs. he is doing the same mistake again and again for years which is not acceptable. he is short of confidence. i even totally agree with the statement that class is permanent but form is temporary.but for how many years. as a captain he should lead from the front. i am big fan of ganguly's classa dn elegance, but everything comes second to the country's pride.
I think we shud not talk much bout his bad form coz that adversely effectshis form. Media pressure n all that make his life more hard. i think Ganguly shud concentrates on his strength that is offside n big hits. When he was in his top form with master blaster; Dravid made a comment bout him that hes the best player on offside after god. So I think he shud stick to his very best. One shud not forget his contributio as a captain. Hes the best captain India has produced.Didn't won world cup unlike Kapil dev's team but i think Ganguly's team is still better then Kapil's. I wish him good luck for the comin season. Hope he will be in his very best.
i dont think sourav s time is over, he is too big a player n he will bounce back, even the legendary lara had a bad patch .He has done great things for indian cricket, taking the bull by the horn, the agressive attitude are his trademark, how many players in world cricket can come down the wicket when somebody of the class of pollock is bowling?
I think it should be appropriate if Ganguly hangs up his boots and go home. Its time for him to decide its enousg torturing the Indians with his pathetic batting
Hi really gunguly is a good player and good captain no doubt about that but in any game, players should always work hard to be at their best when it comes to represent a country, there are alot of young players who can do better than gaungly outside waiting for oppertunities. we should try them and should try to keep the set of players those can perform well. If someone didn't perform well continuously whoever it may be there should not be any hesitation to give them a break, once he rebound we can take them back. itis not good for team keep on talking about what they did, what is now thats very important to cricket and for everything.
hii I admire ganguly as a captain and completly agree that he has been one of the best cricketers this country has ever produced. But at the same time i agree that a bad patch can't be two- three years long! May be he should step back for some time and make place for some young talents. But I wish he shines again! Good Luck dada!!
While the entire cricketing community speculates on the outcome of Ganguly's case on his ban, I for one feel that theres absolutely no relevance of that verdict to the Indian team selection for the tri series in SL. Regardless of what Justics Sachs has got in store for the 'former' Prince of Kolkotta, Indian cricket would be better served from now on without its most successful captain. The reason is plain and simple - we cant afford to have a non performing batsman who also doubles up as an under-performing fielder, despite the luxury of the super substitute provision recently introduced into the one day games.
While the old adage of 'Form is temporary, Class is permanent' still enjoys its contemporary relevance, I am afraid in Ganguly's case his bad form over the last several seasons ( one has seriously lost count the number of single digit scores in his last 25-30 ODI's ) has undone all the past glory he brought to the team during his good days which to my mind is over. He simply can not execute his cover drives, nor can he disdainfully dance down the wicket to hit a spinner - two things he could do in the middle of his sleep. Time to thank him and say good bye.
