Ganguly's dropping
by Sarbajit on Dec 14, 2005 11:43 PM

I am not even commenting on who has got what amount of success in the Indian team in the middle order, consistently. It's just that the complete trust on the Indian selection committee is getting erased slowly. Couple of days back when it came to include Ganguly, the selectors commented that they don't wanna change a winning combination. This is a direct contradiction. If you are dropping somebody so experienced and such a performer like Ganguly because you wanna play the ones who will carry on for years, what about Sachin Tendulkar??? This is complete shit. If you are talking about experimentation of Chappel then why fix the order of batting only for Ganguly? He does have performances as an opener too.

Ganguly's exclussion
by kalyan brata dhar on Dec 14, 2005 11:25 PM

Kiron More said that Yuvraj should get a chance . When he is in form it is unfair to drop him. If we agree with this point we can never exclude Ganguly. Because last series he made a century and even in last match his performance is not bad. So he can deserve chance. If age is factor, then why Sachin is there? Can he(More)tell us what is the justified way selectors use to take to select teams? as being a cricket lover we deserve explanation from them. b'coz we use to see the game of players not the foul game of selection..

Shame on Ganguly Dismissal
by Jaydeep Mukherjee on Dec 14, 2005 11:24 PM

Shame on Ganguly's Dismissal for the third Test.He scored 42 and 39 and has an average of 40 in the Test which is considered as his come back Test Match. His performance in the Test is Good.If the Selectors want to select Players, making Half centuries or centuries then We can name Lot of other Players who should be omitted if Ganguly is Omitted, for this Low-Score assumed on Partiality.

Indian Cricket Team

The team's opening pair is now more or less firm. Then where is the need to pick another opener! Let the Selection Committee be forthright instead of saying in aroud about way that Ganguly does not find favour with the Committee. If performance is the criterian, then Ganguly has done better than Mohammed Kaif in the last two matches against Sri Lanka. Then how does one pass such uncharacterstic remark! The Committee should be more transparent and reasonable rather than being tentative.

Unfair & Bad Politics
by Vijay on Dec 14, 2005 10:42 PM

This is not fair.

BCCI should learn to respect players and most importantly those who have served the country for longer period.

Ganguly deserves to be in the team.

Dropping Ganguly has nothing to do with form, but everything to do with politics
