A great injustice has been done to Ganguly. His was a crucial innings when we batted second in the Delhi test. I can not understand why a winning combination be disturbed suddenly. What the hell will fall if Ganguly is retained for the third and final test. Is this a way to treat a Captain who has done a lot for the sake of Indian cricket?
In a simple word : Indian cricket selectors and board simply SUCKS. Disgusting and deplorable. Ganguly who gave the respect to Indian Cricket is back top square one where it was by these MORONs. It sucks.
What happened to Akash Chopra? He served India very well, particularly abroad. Even though he never scored a \\\"heroic\\\" century and his batting was devoid of antics. He did consistantly perform. But looks like to be in the Indian team you have to be one of the two : 1. A prodigy. 2. Well connected and in favor with the board.
If a player is good contributor without antics and connections,he is out, even though the team might be better off with him in it!
Mr. More, its obvious that west zone connection played a part in selecting Jaffer over Chopra. You cannot fool people.
Sharad's pawars entry = ganguly's permanant exit. THis equations suggests not what lack of performance can do but what politics can.Wasim jaffer had been given lots of chances and ganguly only one chance too prove (after removing captaincy)that too on a bad wicket(where no batsmen except the gr8 master hitting century). This adds insult to india on how they treat players like ganguly who was great captain.
Only in Pakistan would a player be removed after wrenching his gut out in both Test innings and being a major reason for India's win. Although we tied the 2nd test in England, and won the 3rd in Adelaide due to the middle order, it was gutsy opening innings by Bangar and Akash Chopra that made the victories possible, Same was the case with Ganguly. This has never happened in Indian cricket atleast in my life of watching it, and I was proud of the fact that although biased the selections were not totally nonsensical ever. We have stooped to a new low, Forget Bengalis, man as an Indian fan it sucks knowing the lower middle order doesnt have a gutsy batsman for the 3rd test.. Im not sure this has anything to do with Chappell and Dravid cos both r good for India, and hope its not... I just think and wish this was Pawar and company getting back at the old selection commitee..
