it is time re think on our indian cricket strategies. some players are merely playing for their personal records. Example Sachin Tendulkar. when he can not score why should board include him in the team. plz throw him away from the team. this is the right time to show thier ways
Shameless performance by the Indian team!! Utter capitulation is the only way to describe it. What a send off to John Wright!! The team is back to the exact same position when he took over as the coach. Even the Umpires tried their best to help the Indian team (Youhana's run-out, Inzi's caught behind), but the team was not willing to raise their game.
Anyone who has basic understanding of cricket, can not ignore the way sachin is playing now a days then how come he himself, captain or coach are ignoring the facts.
No International Team would promote an opener who's sole aim is to workout the ball through gaps in first 15 overs. Openers are supposed to go after the ball straight and trying to pierce the restricted circle in first 15 overs. He had been doing so successfully for so many years. Its since last year or so , he has changed his way of playing. If it is because of his slowing reflexes or enjury, He should come down the line ( middle order) where the type of game he is playing may be justified.
In the final match against Pakistan also, he got out Cleaned bold while trying to work out the ball on leg side.
It's high time for him to consider his way of playing.
Entrenched interests, North Indian-South Indian politics have all decimated Indian cricket reducing the team to an unpredictable set of losers.
What we need is a total overhaul starting with the selectors. They can then put a team together impartially that can stand pressure and win some games consistently.
The result is same (4-2) when Pak made their last visit to India. Beging of this tour they themself clasified as a inexperience team. Think what would happen if Wasim, Akthar and co., are in the team. At this stage we are satisfying with records only. Kumble crosses 400 mark... Dravid crosses another milestone... yet another century from Tendul... For individual records it's ok. What about national pride? Players should stop natural games. Should play according to the situation & conditions. Wining thougts should be in our blood. otherwise all our efforts and talks are vain. One requet to medias ; please do not use the word " strong batting lineup".
The Indians for the umpteenth time have shown their mental vulnerabilty by losing to a much underrated team(on paper)in a crucial match. It only goes to show that the sheer scale of the occasion got to them this time also and they just could not handle the pressure, whereas, the pakistani team held their nerve at the critical moment.
Skill and talent is one thing but to be able to play to your own natural abilities is quite another. This requires an honest to god self realization through meditation and yoga as told in the Gita. The Indian team would certainly not lose anything if they imbibed the power of Non attachment, as enunciated in the Gita. it is a great destressing technique and will help them rise above the occasion and grasp the glory that their collective talent so richly deserves.
If this is what the best batting line up in the world, then that is a pity to cricket. Apart from that, the mediocre players of pakistan barring Inzamam and Youhana all had a blast on this tour. Just before this tour, the batsman like Malik, Younish Khan, Salman Butt and Shahid Afridi who were not able to even cross 30+, picked centuries and half centuries at will. This also showed the classes of Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, Balaji and Nehra.
I truly think this Indian Cricket Team is highly overrated. If they cant win against this Pakistani side then they are just below average! I really hope though, they get now some good modelling endorsements!
Its high time cricket and cricketers are shrugged off our minds and homes. Our cricketers have no character, guts or determination. Surely, our cricket cannot slip any further than this. But for the Zimbabweans, Kenyans and the Bangladeshis, we would be last on the list. Oh! we were beaten by all the above three too! Shame on the 'greats' and 'legends' of Indian cricket. Rahul Dravid - How can you co-exist with all these losers! I pity you my friend. India can do better without the following players: Saurav Ganguly ( both one day and tests, retire him permanently... please ) Sachin Tendulkar ( in One dayers - he is over the hill) Yuvraj singh ( in both tests and onedayers .. please play Kaif instead) Irfan Pathan ( in both tests and one dayers played in India - can be considerd abroad) Balaji ( in onedayers ) Agarkar ( retire him please - in all forms of cricket) Anil Kumble ( oneday retirement please !) Build a new team of enthusiastic, young and fearless cricketers in the mould of the Australians or the Pakistanis for that matter. We need a few Gilchrists...where are you?
