Indians loss today
by krishna on Apr 17, 2005 10:49 PM

I cant understand why our batsmen have to get out before playing the full 50 overs. They should have learnt something from Pakistan who won on the last ball the other day. If one scores 30-40 runs then you grow in confidence and can play better later. Why risk wickets when you are on 10-20. Why not make a partnership for 10 overs. Strangeeeee!!!!

The so-called stalvarts of Indian Cricket are fit to be and can compete with sportsmen of any discipline all over the word as far as BAFOONing is cocerned. If there is a match for bafoons, i.e. those mimick or enact any silly, boring action songs to advertise useless consumer products, Indian can win it hands down.

This filthy rich lot can no more deliver results to Indian cricket. BCCI should therefore give chance to other promising young crickets all over the country rather than propping up those who are not serious about the game or the name and fame of the country.

John Wright did not properly coach Indin players as far as fielding is concerned. While australian Players pouonce on the ball and deny the batsman single or two runs as far as possible, Indian fielders wait for the ball to come and hit their heads

We are let down
by shailendra dasari on Apr 17, 2005 10:08 PM

Team India let down the indian fans yet another time.OK, we can not win every time. But fans feel thoroughly let down with the tame surrender by men in blue. There was no semblance of any fight and the margins of defeat were huge, barring Ahmedabad. It only goes to prove that we are paper tigers but surrender like rabbits on the field. It is high time that Ganguly,Tendulkar and Yuvaraj took a long break and youngsters waiting in the wings(shriram,Badani,Venugopal Rao,Rayudu) are given an opportunity or two to show their mettle. Why are all rounders like Rohan Gavaskar,LR shukla not being considered by selectors? Why Agarkar played only one game? There is some serious soulseaerching to be done by the seniors .Certainly this is not the way to bid farewell to Wright.

The state of Indian cricket team
by Ajith on Apr 17, 2005 09:59 PM

I think the Indian Cricket team is back to square one. There is no more aggression that was present during the Nat west series & world cup. Indians are winning only if they win the toss( even that 50% chance has bcome a thing of past). I think the Indian supporters should treat our cricket players with the kind of treatment that we had given them when they showed a dismal performance in the World cup, beat them & damage their properties if they come out of their houses.

Its not ''K''ricket
by SaGaR on Apr 17, 2005 09:58 PM

I think with so many years of experience, we are not disappointed. This is what Team India is known for. Play in one macth, rest for 10s of matches. Moreover, BCCI is more interested in making money and not looking after what will be at the advantage of the game. Pitches have been stupid. Pak's 11 players were a team while India had 11 jokers and not a TEAM. I think we need young players who can replace Ganguly, Yuvraj, Nehra, Sachin. Also, look for few genuine all rounders. I know this is just a dart in dark since no one is going to care to even read this.
But I think if there are so many people spending their money, time, Cricketers should be little more professional. We understand that winning and loosing is a part of game. But loose with grace.
Regards,
SaGaR

Indian Players are answarable to the Indian public
by ALOK on Apr 17, 2005 09:36 PM

SUch a bad performance repeatedly has been very frustrating. It is not only the 11 players, but the entire nation plays the game with them emotionally.
Our players should be made answarable for any such performance where the fans feel let down. Their punishment should be complete ban form all kind of endorsement where the actual money lies for them and not the game.
Sachin has lost his charm, Saurav is no more what we saw. With a few good players our team should take rest before taking another tournament.

Indian Defeat
by venkatramanr on Apr 17, 2005 08:05 PM

It is a poor gift by the Indian Team for the New Year.
We gloat ourselves on the lousy statistics which were made over very long periods e.g. runs piled up, wickets taken etc etc. Such things serve the purpose of the media only. But we, as Indians, do not do anything to win a match convincingly, anyday. Most of our victories only give a semblance of dame luck helping us. But not of the Hard work required on the part of the team. It is high time India took an Agyatha Vaasa in Cricket. Unless India is officially demoted to lower ranks we will not learn anything.
Very Pathetic Indeed.

Meek surrender
by skumar on Apr 17, 2005 07:46 PM

Our bunch are mere paper tigers and this match proves it. The only teams that we are capable of beating are the Kenya and Bangladesh.

Indian Cricket Teams performance
by Pradeep S More on Apr 17, 2005 07:36 PM

Horrible !! Atrocious !!

I am ashamed to see our bloated, over rated players lose so tepidly to Pakistan in this series.

It ONCE AGAIN proves the lack of mental agression by INDIAN players on the same wicket on which Afridi, Inzi, Yousef Khan treated Indian bowlers with utter contempt.

Today, Indian Crciket Players have ashamed me as an Indian.

I hate to see any one of them on those TV Commercials, Sponsorships.
