i personally felt very bad by the decision of declaration taken by our incharge captain Rahul Dravid, when Sachin was on the shore of a double ton.. i wont point Rahul's fault in this....because as a captain he has taken a decision which also was supported by the teams coach. well the result ....India's victory....has unbiasedlly prooved that the decision was right....but when the question arises about a match against pakistan....its entirely different....they are our traditional rivals.... hence Indian team of any sport should think about only winning and creating records against them. if we think in this scenario i feel sachin should have been allowed to complete his double century..hardly few more deliveries would have been sufficient for his remaining 6 runs to be scored. well be happy ....all though has happened has ended well....we have not left anything for paki's to show to their country....great cricket and great Indians.
i would like to appreciate dravid captaincy,as he knows very well sachin is short of few runs for double century then also declaring the match which shows his ability to win the match then looking for individuals score. i give 100 marks to dravid for his decision.
I feel the decision to declare the innings was a right one, everyone is playing for the team, and we know from the past that Sachin just wastes the balls when he is in the 90's
he has changed a lot, he has become a different player altogether, Look at sehwag when he completed his century with a 6, but sachin will try to nudge the ball for a single, even though it could have been hit for a six or four.
this also shows that the team in maturing day by day If u all remember there was a time when only sachin used to play, and everyone else was just a ordinay player. there no body has the answer
Now when so many quality batsman have come to the team, No should question these decisions.
I am sure he was always given a chance of complweting the double century.
