Sachin's double ton!
by Vidhata on Mar 29, 2004 05:14 PM

I wonder why Sachin was not allowed to complete his double century...I guess the rivalry netween ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar is now going to come into spotlight.

by nikhil pandit on Mar 29, 2004 04:50 PM

that was very unfair on part of sachin , that dravid did not let him complete his double century
well if its the mastermind of ganguly , then i am sorry to say but, he's jealous of sachin, thats it!

Dravid Should have allowed Tendulkat to score Double hundred
by Vishnu Prasad on Mar 29, 2004 04:48 PM

I dont think two more overs before declaring would have made any difference to the outcome of the game. I really feel that it is unfair on Tendulkar's part. Dravid should have delayed the declaration by 2 overs.

Poor Declaration by Dravid
by S. Arunachalam on Mar 29, 2004 04:46 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Sir,
It is hard to understand why dravid had declared the innings when Sachin is on 194. Still 18.1 overs left for the day and we are 25 runs short of 700 runs. He could of given 2 more overs for sachin to complete his double century to make it a back to back double hunderds.

Regards,
Arunachalam S.

very true ....i would like to point out here that back to back double hundreds are a feat previously achieved only by Sir Don Bradman and Vinod Kambli. It was sad and rude and very hearless of Dravid to deny Sachin the chance of putting his name beside that of his childhood friend (kambli) and and the greatest batsman of all time, Sir Don, who himself liked Sachin so much and had even stated that Sachin was perhaps the only batsman who could have matched the standards that he had set.

Declaration

They should have allowed to Sachin to score double century, it is absolutely rubbish to devoid him the double century, few overs will not cost much to the indian victory ,but the landmark of one indian batsment at Pakistan is not appreciable.
