Do something real Sachin !
by saneka4u on Jul 22, 2004 07:14 PM

It's time Sachin does something in games that really matter insteading of hitting big innings against sorts of Kenya and Bangladesh ! If Sachin is as valuable a cricketer for India as he is projected, he should have at least one World Cup under his cap.

Shame on Sachin
by Ashish Gupta on Jul 22, 2004 04:58 PM

Shame on Him he took so many balls to hit 82 useless runs even Balaji and Pathan can score at better rate if they might have been opened.

Lets all Play a Waiting Game
by Dinesh on Jul 22, 2004 04:42 PM

Hi All,

Thanks for all the comments on Indian Team. Good observation. Its true that Sachin fails in important matches. But one should not forget that till the point of reaching the finals he would have given his maximum possible performance. Dont deny that fact...

People speaking abt his performance...Think abt the World Cup matches....Except Finals...Why cant other Indian players get into the act if he is not doing...We have 10 others players to contribute..Look for oppurtunitites to imporve dont look for opportunities to blame anyone...

Stop thinking with a Narrow mind...I'm sure that all those who are blaming Sachin...will be afan of either Dravind, Sourav or Sehwag...Even I'm a gr8 fan of Sachin but I will always appreciate & Accept whoever plays well...

stick to basics
by ravindra on Jul 22, 2004 03:51 PM

hi sourav,
dont fiddle with batting order, send sehwag with sachin or u join sachin, give parthiv some rest, let dravid keep wickets, and u have to choice to choose vvs laxman or harbhajan, replace nehra for zaheer for one or to matches. have a nice outing

About Wicket Keeping
by Nataraj on Jul 22, 2004 09:41 AM

Hi,
my mail is regarding the wicket keeping issue. Parthiv Patel does not have the capacity to play the ball all around the park. He is limited in this strokes.Only that makes him a player to be thought of when in one day matches. Tatenda Taibu is much equiped than him. I think Dinesh Karthick should be given an oppurtunity. He is a busy player more like Neil Fairbrother of England or Jonty Rhodes of RSA. It is too much to keep a talented player away.
I think the selectors should take into consideration and allow Pathiv to get to Domestic cricket and come out more stronger than now.GIve Dinesh Karthick a break her needs like how Pathan got selected after a sucessful Under 19 World cup series.
Hope for the best!!!!

Very well written report. Gives the complete picture.
Sachin and Sourav should open with Sehwag coming one down.

sachin is back
by irfa mustafa on Jul 22, 2004 03:59 AM

thats nonsense somebody said that sachin and sourav maintain averages by playing weak teams. i really don"t know why do they give messages. they are playing after a gap, they will take time to deliver.its a start to sachins progress, he willdominate in the remaining games.
