not a good reply......
by Manish on Jul 22, 2004 01:24 AM

It was too slow innings by both Sachin and Saurav. I dont understand why Sachin don't play his natural game, even he doesn't want to play his natural game these days, the game which has raised him to the top. I think these days he is more cautious about his records......Sachin we love you and we want old Sachin...our Sachin!!!!

No Balls and Wides
by Rajmohan on Jul 22, 2004 12:24 AM

India Vs Srilanka:
Extras (b 2, lb 9, wides 12, nb 4)- Total 27

India Vs Bangladesh :
Extras(b 4, lb 4, wides 23, nb 6)- Total 37

Why is Indian Bowlers bowling so many Noballs and wides? It's not just the Extra runs but also extra balls they have to bowl. How often you see the extra balls the bowler bowls getting hit for a boundary.

Hope Indian bowlers remember that it is the no-balls and wides bowled by Pakistan team during their last series cost Pakistan atleast 2 of their matches

So India won a game against Bangladesh .Big deal ...I just want to know are you going to cover real major sporting events like the copa american , the ASIA cup of football ...It is astonishing to see how such a boring sport can be so popular (thanks to the media)
and how a sport with 8 countries have its own "WORLD CUP"...
BOTTOM LINE :BEHIND GOLF AND BASEBALL CRICKET IS THE MOST BORING SPORTS EVER!!

even a roadside team from India can beat Bangladesh.
The opposing teams should play reverse handed and bowl only underarm.

do not blow trumpets for this vioctory

Tendulkar and Ganguly keep their averages by playing BD, Kenya, Nairobi, etc
by Sohan R Ranjan on Jul 21, 2004 09:52 PM  | Hide replies

The so-called world's best batsmen Tendulkar and Ganguly seem to maintain their averages by playing teams like Bangladesh, Kenya, Nairobi and so on. They completely fail against any decent bowling attack.

Tendulkar
- Most 50s and 100s against Australia (11 & 7)
- 50s and 100s against arch rival Pakistan (10 & 3)
- Career best 186* was against New Zealand
Did somebody say minnows?

This may be a tall ask but give it a try
Who was adjudged the best batsman of the tournament in the last World cup? Remember who took the dreaded speed merchants of Pakistan were to the cleaners in that tournament? Think before you rant :)

dude, shame on you....remember the world cup...tendulkar almost single handedly took us to the finals...and thrashed pakistan....people who know mighty little about cricket, have short memories and only fuss and complain should sit at home and do some housewife work. cricket isnt for you...especially if you dare to talk about a god like sachin tendulkar

Tendulkar is indeed the best batsman in the world. Please watch out when you say that, you don't know the statistics too well, do you. Tendulkar has most of his centuries against the best team in the world, Australia. No body can doubt Sachin's calibre as one of the finest batsmen in the history of the game. There have been many people who got jealous of his achievements for no reason at all and tried to blemish his image, but not one has been able to do so.

Before you come up with such BS, please look into Sachin's career record against various countries, dude.

It seems the writer doesnot know alfa betes of cricket. Sachin does n't have to play against bangladesh, Kenya or any of the minnows to maintain his average. His average against Astralia speaks for it self. A few failures should not invite such creticism. It all happens only in Cricket as it is the game of glorious uncertenities.

3Cheers for the Skipper - Bengal Tiger
by Stanley D\'Silva on Jul 21, 2004 09:07 PM  | Hide replies

It is a tremendous coming back to form by our great Bengal Tiger, Skipper Ganguly. Tendulkar is so fantastic becoming all rounder. Three Cheers to Ganguly and his team.

I wish the roaring tiger and his team play at final and win the Asia Cup. You are the uncrowned king of Indian Cricket. Long Live Ganguly and India.

Stanley D'Silva - Red Hills, Chennai.

What a drab report. Shows out clearly the guy doing the work was least interested in doing it. Wonder whats the point in such endeavours.

Footnote, Sachin opened with Sehwag but somehow to our man, it was Ganguly!
