Who is Daryl Foster? He is simply getting emotional or maybe its a case of "jis thali mein khaya usmein chhed nahi karega". He is obviously on the payrolls of srilankan and Paki boards. He simply doesnt get the logic that being "disabled" might give someone an unfair advantage. Money has blinded his logic. THis guy is a sellout.
I agree that when they do not chuck they can not bowl fast, that means they can bowl normally, also Shoaib was removed from Test matches initially saying that since ( at that time ) bouncers are not allowed in One day matches he is allowed to play. Now this guy comes and finds a way to explain the illusion we all are into. I am also surprised that so far nobody has talked about Paul Adams. He looks to be disabled from head to toe.
I feel it's just an excuse from Foster, he is probably defending both Shoib & Murali as he has been working on both of them and is possibily being paid for it, i don't mean he is getting paid for defending them but he surely is getting paid to work on both of them. And doesn't bringing Bhaji's name into this controversy stinks ! Why he brought in Bhaji's name ? to bring in ill repute to an otherwise clean indian team or because the team is doing well or just because is Bhaji's is the nearest to and possible threat to Murali, these are some unanswered questions.
Inted of making such foolish claims like hypermobility and disability ,it is better that ICC makes chucking legitimate thus all these problems will disappear quickly further we readers will also be spared of reading such foolish arguments given by mr Foster defending people who chuck ....what next mr Foster what abt Brett Lee ???? .......does any aliens from invisible space ships send telepathic message to him to chuck????
Since most bowlers do chuck to some extent anyway, and the ICC has failed to take any action, why dont they just allow one chucked ball per over like they allow bouncers?
i think, since Foster was a consulting coach of Pakistan and Sri Lanka,that is the reason he wants to consider Shoaib and Murali's case as different.A chucker is a chucker no matter how much you defend him irrespective of country for which he represents .The trouble is whoever raises this question against a bowler is so much surrounded by conterversies related to it that i think most of the umpires would fear calling a baller for a suspect action.
All teams back their bowlers whenever there are such chucking allegations, except India. Rajesh Chauhan, a promising off-spinner was shown the door when there was a baseless chucking allegation against him. High time the management stands by its players!
Whether people with disabilities should play cricket or not that's really a controversial issue. But maybe, Darryl Foster don't think it's any issue because of his connection with Sri Lanka & Pakistan. Mr. Foster probably trying to follow Pakistan Line, when the interviewer was supposedly(by Mr. Foster) was trying to follow Indian Line.
