Shocking was Indian Boxing Associations refusal to lodge protest
by Aniruddha Roy on Oct 02, 2014 06:29 PM

Sarita was right and she demonstrated her anguish publicly. She has every right to do so as a sportsman and as a human being.
I'm outraged by the IBA's refusal to lodge a protest where even the host crowd booed the result. What was there for them to lose, a 500K USD or the face, in fact they dont have the second one for a long time. This is what happens when corrupt politicians run a sports association, so common in India.

Is this CRIME to speak against injustice?????
by Deepak Kumar on Oct 02, 2014 06:11 PM

The protest by Sarita was not against any country or individual but against a corrupt system. This has not happened first time. Someone has to speak against this injustice.

It is not a CRIME to speak against injustice.

What battered me is the behaviour of our officials, instead of helping Sarita, they are thinking of action against her. Such a behaviour is not going to her help sports in INDIA.

Sarita, RED corner. Indian Officials, BLUE corner.
by Kersie Madon on Oct 02, 2014 06:05 PM

Sarita has been 100 % right to refuse the bronze medal. We Indian should be proud of her but what one Official said is also 100 % right. Tomorrow sportsmen will becomes judges as well & refuse to accept medals which judges have taken the decision.

Boxer Sarita
by Yogeshwar Mehta on Oct 02, 2014 06:02 PM

Sarita already told that no one was around her when this thing happened even to raise the issue of judgement within 30 minutes by paying $500. She had $400 with her and no one from Indian olympic squad was around and some visitor gave her another $100 so she can lodge the complaint but by that time it was too late. Only one thing she did wrong was to put bronze medal in the neck of Park who was declared winner with her comments. Otherwise I am with her, whatever she did was right way to protest. She did not take everything lying down. Astonishing even the Park supports Sarita.
