If he could provide some other reason I can accept that but talking about team games than min you Mr. Christie Soccer is also a team game so as basketball and also vollyball and he might forgot about Baseball which is very much similar to cricket but is still in Olympics....

Mr.Farooq..are u dreaming of cricktet in olympics!!its never gonna happen.and coming to baseball,it is gasping for its survival in olympics.some reports say from next olympics,the baseball wont be there anymore.so u can well make use of ur grey things and see where cricket stands of getting a chance to be in olympics!!!

No to Cricket, the spirit of Olympics will die if it is introduced as a game in Olympics. Think of the sledging and all those gimmicks Bhaji, Symonds combine will unleash and make mockery of the great game's gentlemen

According to his stupid logic...ALL TEAM GAMES shouldnt be there in Olympics kya ?
In that case all Team events like Athletics the 4 X 400m Relay or Relay in Swimming, then Tennis doubles, Table tennis doubles, Badminton doubles, TEAM Synchronized Diving, Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Handball and ALL THE BALLS EVENTS should be removed from Olympics.
So entire Olympics will have only Individual events so that people like him can aim for individual GOLD glory and entire Olympics will be over in say 4 days instead of 14 days.
So even India can host a 4 days Olympics in that case.
Has he gone so mad with joy after seeing his Jamaican friend BOLT win yesterday or what that he is talking like this ?
Just because he cant play cricket he cant ask the 20 countries who play T20 cricket to stop playing. Have that also as a Medal sport in Olympics. Have Kabaddi also. Have Chess also. Why not ? All TEAMS sports including Team Athletics are also important not just individual Athletic sport

Who watches cricket outside these nations anyway? Had cricket been included in China, only tourists from these countries [ probably a handful ] would have watched it.
And we Indians woould be so fixated with cricket once again and would have probably missed out on the exploits of Bolt, Phelps etc.

Don't talk like this. Every game is good in its own way...T20 format of cricket sd be included in the Olympic. It is already included in next Asiad.....

In Asian games, India has enough muscle power to push through Kabaddi, Cricket etc. But Olympics are different and the Europeans and Americans and even the Chinese do not want to watch some sport which they don't understand.
Personally, I also have reservations about introducing cricket to Olympics since T-20 does NOT convey the right spirit of cricket and even 50-over matches (forget about tests) would be too long for Olympics.
However, if Christie's logic as mentioned here has to hold good, we need to banish extremely popular team events (like football, hockey, basketball and volleyball) from the Olympics. Would that be right, Mr. Christie!
Andrew Symonds was guffawing at the way money and land was distributed to our 20-20 world cup champs.Look how BCCI distributed 5 lakhs to our 83 world cup team when australia has already won 3 consequtive world cups.We here are lost in nostalgia. The BCCI will run after anything that smells of money. Tell them that you are organizing a tournament in Siberia or Alaska in the winter and they will immediately jump at the opportunity.
In India, most of the sports associations are headed by non players, who are petty minded people concerned only with the foreign jaunts at Government expense. Even BCCI is dead against ICL and so we do not have the services of some of the best players.
No wonder we Indians never excel in any sports. Even if we do, it is inspite of the Government and everything official.
