Saeed Khan
SRK is my brother
by Saeed Khan on Oct 29, 2005 10:38 AM

I have not met Shahrukh Khan, but we are fans of him since the days of Fauji, the series on Doordarshan. There are different reasons for the fan following:
1. He is Khan, like us.
2. His looks sometimes resembles to my own brothers.
3. I found many things common between him and myself, eg. a. name starts with S and surname Khan,
b. He likes banana so did I,
c. Many a times his favourite shot or film song seems to be mine.
And there are lot others, just few I can remember now.
We always prays Allah to give him success, but one thing I would like to tell him that now you are entering the 40s, and you should give your service to your community also.
We wish him all the best, may Allah bless you.
Saeed Khan

Met SRK when he was a TV star
by JRF on Oct 29, 2005 08:38 AM

I remember meeting SRK when he came to Searock where he was doing a show for the kids at Christmas. We were in the same elevator but I did not even say hi to him. I wish I did and took his autograph. He is such a sweet, simple person. Wishing him a Very Happy 40th Birthday.

Yes, when we did shows and also my first meeting in his Bandra flat
by elizabeth koshy on Oct 29, 2005 06:34 AM

I met Shahrukh, when I went with my good friend Nishi Prem to Shahrukh's flat in Banda, in 1992.Nishi , shahrukh , Shahrukhs's sister and myself had dinner . We did not want to eat as Nishi wanted to discuss some movie script with him. But, Sharukh, in his charcteristic style, insisted we eat the home made food. He was so warm and genuine and talked 'dime a dozen'. He was so intense , in his conversation and so very bright. He was just geeting big in Bollywood. Then I was involved in organising the Shahrukh shows and the first show was staged by my company in Bangalore. He is a professional to the core. Very hardworking, very involved and went out of his way to ensure that a great show was put up. I had asked him to thank the sponsors , which he did. Always has a smile , when he meets children. He is an out an out marketing person. An actor, who is a genius of a marketing guy.
God Bless him and hope he will continue to rule Bollywood with the same zest and energy. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish him a very happy 40th Birthday.

Met SRK!!
by CPP on Oct 29, 2005 02:50 AM

I met Shah Rukh at Hyderabad in Ramoji Rao Film City in the year 1999. He was there in the Studio for the shooting of the film Badshaah. With a cup of coffee in his right hand and cigarette in his left hand, he was watching the shooting of a telugu film(Starring Rajsekhar and Rambha). He was looking very young and handsome and after having a small chat with Rajsekhar and Rambha, he said bye to all of our friends and left to his hotel.

I heard SRK sing live...
by Bijoy K. Anupam on Oct 29, 2005 01:54 AM

I had been a great fan of SRK since his "FAUJI" days. Then I felt that one day this guy will become a great star. To my luck it happened so...
It was during 11th-12th standard in school in Chennai. Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla had come for a concert in Chennai. We could manage Rs.100 pass and was in the last rows and he was hardly visible on the stage. I almost felt bad because people in the front rows paying thousands for pass were having a great time with SRK. People around us became mad and broke the partition and entered the middle rows. I was happy and could feel my eyes were wet with tears. Shahrukh Khan danced, joked and interacted with the crowd. In the last appearance of the 4-5 hr show, he sang the song "Ek din aap" from the film Yes Boss. He sang very well and I thought one day he can sing too.
I was thrilled when he called everyone to the front row... and shaked hands with the crowd. And crowd was told to move on. I was lucky that the crowd was allowed to move from the front side close to the stage and SRK bending shaked hands and shouted goodnight... I was lucky that I could see him so near that I could see him sweating.
Sweat has done wonders... HAPPY BIRTHDAY...
