This data does not make any sense.. they have not come up with the deciding numeric parameters for conclusion. In some cases hours/year is available and some cases no of holidays.....This is Rediff's stupid statistical analysis
In today's India, all govt. organization barring a few act as Brake to our economy. Its only private sector efforts and toil which is giving a new face to India.

We donot work even if supervised. We should know out weakness and work to improve it rather than turning a blind eyee. Ostrich approach does not help. Check any internatinal survey and talk to anyone who has worked with Chinese and Indians u will be enlightened

Indians are more hardworking than Chinese. At least Indians working abroad are the most diligent and yes, honest workers. Indians hardly give in to crime.

It should be hardly working Nation! They have not consider % non working population on street! They have also not consider working of bureaucratic & political system.
this list is hogwash, germany,singapore, & britain do not find a place,whereas mexico,russia,& france do.france has the minimum hours per week rule in the EU community. this list deserves to be sent to the dustbin.
