Cost of Petrol.
by RUDOLPH FURTADO on Apr 12, 2011 09:40 AM

The Earning cost and "Per-Capita income" of the country has not been accounted while fixing the cost price of petrol in "RUPEES".Barring Eriteria, all the country's with a higher petrol price/itre than India heve also a higher per capita income compared to India. When you compare the pe-capita income of India, the price of petrol is definitely very expensive, one of the costliest in the World.

63 per litre?
by bigben bigben on Apr 12, 2011 09:31 AM  | Hide replies

Where did you get Rs 63 per litre for India? I pay Rs 58.3 per litre in Delhi for "normal" grade. 63 may be Xtra Premium or Speed grade and is used only by small minority of car users.

There is no subsidy in Delhi, It is just that there is not much state tax due to Delhi being Union Territory.
