I grew up reading , Enjoying and fantasasing Things with Chandamama , I do remember the year i was intiatied for reading chandamama by Grand pa OH He used to read it for Us and we used to forget everything ( early 70's). I have been fascinated by Chandamama for over 30 years. It helped me got to bed and now, my son goes to bed listening to all those stories from Chandamama. I have been an avid reader and did feel really bad for Chandamama in 98', as I was in Madras at that time.
I continue to subscribe to Chandamama and will continue for ever. This is one tradition I shall make sure, my family passes on from one generation to another.
Pure unadulterated material. Filled with morals and light reading. Completely relevant to today's times and as I call it "One Hell of a Good Book !!".
Chandamama!! Hats off to you !! Keep the tradition going !!
It is probably the only children magazine which could servive the onslaught of time. All other magazines such as Nandan, Balbharti, Parag etc were lost with the time during past 30-40 years. The new generation does need a east centric views of the world where as majority of the things around us present only west centric views.
it's heartening to hear that Chandamama is on the revivial path. It has been a great household magazine catering equally to children all across India. All the best for the people behind this motion.
