I grew with Chandamama! it was inspiration to my life it was my little print edition of the then wikipaedea! The ghost stories, Maryada Ramanna kathalu, Gundu Bheemanna kathalu, the serials like Paathaala Durgam, Navaabu Nandini, Durgesha Nandini, Vikramaaditya kathalu, inspired my child hood, and characterised me in to days form. The great graphical drawings of Chitra and Shankar were the highlights of Chandadama! I liked my Telugu Edition more htan any thing else.
Thanks MAMA I AM just waiting for the print copy of my telugu edition to my hands! krishna baalu

So correct, my friend. Chandamama has our Indian flavour and tells traditional Indian stories steeped in Indian values. As much as I look forward to a cosmopolitan India, there are certain things that you can not replace overnight. May be, it is better not to try even. The Tintin's and Tom & Jerry's are no substitute of our old Chandamama and Thakurmar Jhuli's; but the new owners need to do their advertisement bit properly to make it catchy for the kids today.
I will never forget the wonderful tales I read as a child. It will be a lasting memory for anyone who experienced this wonderful magazine as a child. I wish them all the best with the latest launch, and the forthcoming web publication. Best wishes for a prolonged future for Chandamana. Vasu Reddy
chacha and sabu, vikram betaal and so many other comic books that i cant remember -- but they have such amazing content and nostalagia attached to it... almost anybody in india wud quick identify with these books .. and they are way way better off than those stupid harry potter books which just writes crap in the name of imagination ... chandamama was much simpler read and left us free for imagination rather than forced imagination in some of the books these days ....
Chandamama is one of the best story books. I remember in my childhood to buy the book whenever I was in journey or go by book store - read all the stories, starting with short ones to the long ones - last being "Vikram Aur Betaal" story - which had such beautiful stories, morals and righteousness which get built into each one of them. The book was worth every paisa we paid during those days. Amazing books. I wish all the best to Geodesic Information Systems and hope they do not lose the core idea (soul of the book) in transforming this book. If there can be one children's magazine which can compete internationally, Chandamama is the one which has the potential. I wish they do it in a big way. I hope other country people know India through Chandamama and through their stories know our medieval culture.
Glad to know the plans that are in the pipeline for Chandamama. The name itself fills my heart with nostalgia. I never used to miss a chance to read Chandamama in my childhood like many of my friends. My best wishes to the team to take Chandamama to new heights. But a request too to ensure that the ideals that the founders stood for do not get diluted in this mad commercialised world. May your endeavour of providing the children of new age with stories from Indian mythology & history find all success and glory. All the best.
