call Afghan;s for a tour
by Smart on Mar 05, 2012 11:35 AM  | Hide replies

Need of hour is to call for a full fledged 5 test and 12 ODI's 5 T20's with Afghan's .. call them to India... so that Tendular can finish is 20k INtl runs, 100th 100 and couple of more recrods..then retire all these old wigs ... tendular, shewag... even gambhir ( cause he thinks he is the next best thing to happen in indian cricket ) .. all so called seniors needs to be "RESTED FOREVER".. ,let the young guns like kholi/tiwari's lose couple of series.. even then its worth it...

Yes, Bollywood is the problem. We knew Indian cricket has gone to dogs when movie celebrities turned into slave lords of cricket.

What is needed is a Revolution
by Sunita Chatterjee on Mar 05, 2012 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

The Indian cricket fans are the only ones who can help protect the interests of Indian cricket and its filthy organizers. They have to summarily boycott watching this game via TV channels, news reports and being present in the match field. As such these players and their masters are intolerable people and watch them playing in a dubious way is simply painful. When Shewag and Tendulkar go to fileld, we just wait and if they do not get out in half an hour's time we feel surprised. If Tendulkar takes an easy catch we feel he is obliging us and when he misses a catch or fails stopping a ball on the field we feel sympathetic he does not get injured. During the French Revolution, the people of France brought down the monarchy to roads, here we the extremely suffering Indian cricket fans should refrain from wasting time doing a psychological investigation or writing news criticisms, we should take a pledge to stop watching this game played by a bunch of politicians until and unless they at least put up a dignified fight even in case of a match that is lost.

agree. i feel it is just a question of time before people's patience runs out. i think we can all make it happen quicker by boycotting the asia cup and IP. cable operators can aid in the process by refusing to screen the IPL matches. we can compensate the cable operators for their loss by paying more for 2 months. at least, i am willing to! hope there are others out there who care!

Nothing went Wrong
by Sharmila Bose on Mar 05, 2012 11:19 AM  | Hide replies

Cricket is no more a Sport but an Event.. an event that need audience and sponsors to generate resouces. The whole game was designed. Though India lost all the matches whether Test/20-20 due to poor performances but started winning the ODI. The sharp winning of India against Srilanka and winning the bonous point is to make the Cricket enthusistics to wait and watch India to see on Final.. the Srilankan win against Austrilia to keep the hope of Indian to see India in Final.. and ultimately Austrial won the series.

So, to fool Indians and their sponsors game was designed..

Now it is upto you to remain fooled or not.

why do Indians waste so much time
by Ameya Ghate on Mar 05, 2012 11:12 AM  | Hide replies

It is quite unfortunate that we waste so much of our resources on a sport that not even 25% of the world takes seriously.Rather than focusing our attention on finishing in the top 6 in the Olympics in hockey and maintaining it for atleast 10 years. Why should we care who wins some silly Tri-series in Australia? People should try their level best for the merger of Hockey India and IHF.The IHF has been bad in the past but WSH is a great initiative. The national team members need to participate and compete in the WSH otherwise they may take their place in the national squad for granted.Players like Sandeep Singh can compete with players like Gurpreet Singh of Pune Strykers and Imran Warsi of Chennai Cheetahs.Hockey was,is and will always be India's National game.

Well said Ameya. I am also a big hockey fan and i love my National game too. Infact I was thrilled on India qualifying for Olympics (so sad ...we have to go through this predicament - A country that was one the force in hockey with 8 sucessive Olympic Golds - such a dominating force for over 3 decades in Hockey had to go through QUALIFYING tournament. I bought a cake the next day after seein India go thru to London 2012.

But I am equally passionate about cricket too.
This blog is about cricket. So even if you and me are avid hockey buffs and love the game, we would be deemed as stupid if we comment about cricket on a hockey blog or vice versa.

We should reserve our hockey comments to hockey blogs and glorify the game there dude.

Keep watching hockey. I am also praying that India ends up in Top 3 in this London 2012 Olympics. Chak De. Long live cricket too :-)

Why we all 're wasting time on discussing failure of TEAM INDIA. Why to burn our blood, GAME STATISTICS ARE ALREADY SET!!! Player and Selectors are interested in money and least bothered about India's Pride. Jebe bharo aur tamsha dekho.
