Dravid should be asked to open with Gambhir. That will give both Yuvi & Raina in the 11. He just need to think the opener out for duck and he is in at 3 in first over!!!
Raina was included in the playing eleven just because of the unavailability of Yuvraj. And the inadequacy in Raina's technique against short-pitch bowling is by now well-known. Yuvraj has been in reasonably good form with both bat and ball, and even the dumbest of captains-let alone Dhoni- would not hesitate to include Yuvraj in the playing eleven.

Yuvaraj doesn't have the patience to play test matches only his bowling is better than raina also it adds a variety to the bowling attack .

sunil vaidya- improve ur cricketing knowledge. Yes WI wicket was tough but not the bowlers. In SA both wicket & bowlers were tough- raina failed in all 5 iinings

@Nationalist: Even if God comes down and tells Sunil Vaidya, he wont accept this fact. According to him, Sachin is waste, Sachin is selfish, etc etc. He wants people to say "Sunil Vaidya" is the best.

Simple, when u perform, people praise u. when u dont perform, people stab u. that is what happened to the indian team after 2007 WC. U always seem to find fault with others when they praise sachin. there will be no dearth of opinions put out by indians, each indian has a different opinion. i dont understand why u should waste ur time cribbing like this..... Dont care about him. he wants to belittle sachin only.people like him r paid to do that. u may not know, but he is a freelancer for all antisocial people like greg chapel.

I am just requesting u people not to flood the discussion boards with un-related stuff. when sachin plays bad, i also curse him. when he plays well, i praise him. and same applies to the whole team. it does not mean i love, or hate any XYZ. The only point where i did not agree with u earlier was that of greg chappel. but that is un related to the above discussion, so i dont want to drag it till here. a team is formed by 11 members and each one is equally important, be it sachin or kohli or even sreesant.....! if some xyz shows fanaticism abt sachin, i dont know why u should take it seriously. because u will find such people everywhere. invincible, if you feel that i should not take it seriously if some xyz shows fanatacism about sachin i wonder why YOU do that when i answer these people back in their language and their logic. if i should ignore these sachin fanatics then by the same logic should you not also ignore sachin critics?
fans of our cricketers may not decrease by some persons arguments. at least i suppose those who are strong wont. but i cant be so sure about the weak ones. they may get confused and brainwashed by people like LG. ASHISH KUMAR, senthil sameer against pseudos, main hoon don dire straits nostra etc. i may be fighting with a gutter pig but this is my life and my choice. if you dont want to do this that is your choice but u have no right to tell me what i should do or not do. leave that choice to me. it is my life and i will decide what i want to do with it.
i started writing here because of crap of LG who gave undue credit to sachin and abused dhoni and other players like anything. if you want to keep quiet about it thats your choice. but i will not keep quiet. if dogs get mad we have to do something about them otherwise they will not only bark they will also bite people and cause injury.

Sunil Vaidya, everyone knows that u r the right successor to Digvijay Singh in terms of logical explanation. 1. ur statistics r all crap like MNIK film. 2. Like SRK, u r the only one on the blog who claims that he is always perfect. 3. Thinking of aged guys like u will not match with the thinking of the youngsters. 4. It is impossible for an indian captain to do 2 things at a time, bat well and be a good captain for a long time. Our captain is also no exception. Let us accept this fact. The only place where this can happen is in australia (and mind u, greg chappel was in no way involved in this feat).

ASHISH KUMAR, sometimes even good bowlers can be faced well enough on not so bad wickets.
and sometimes even not so good bowlers can do well against good batsmen on tough wickets.
ASHSISH KUMAR the WI bowlers are not bad just new and inexperienced...
In my opinion both Yuvi and Raina play . Having Mukund in playing eleven at the expense of either Raina or Yuvi will be a bad idea. Any middle order batsmans should take up the responsibility to open the inning alongwith Gambhir. Remember Sehwag was also a middle order batsman before he was made a makeshift opener in the tour of England in 2002 and now he is best Test opener in the world ... May be this time it could be Yuvi , Raina or may be dhoni himself..

Rahul Dravid can also open giving a right left balance. Raina can remain lower down as he has played well in lower middle order against West Indies.
