The greatest thing about Vishy or Dravid is that they never went behind anybody as pets for playing in India XI

vishy is one of few players..

who was rewarded by zia ul haq in pak in 1978-79.
even pak players respected vishy in peak of rivalry.
such was respect vishy commanded.
we also remember him recalling a player(batsmen) when he was given out by umpire.
can we expect such things now ?

This happened at the golden Jubilee of Tests between India and England
Vishy recalled taylor the wk..he went on to hit a century and helped England win the Match.
Those days they played with true Sportsmen spirit

Tomorrow is a final match between Aus and Kiwiz, Well this time series is level 2-2 and certainly Vettori and Great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great Ricky Ponting would win series.
Aus is looking very good and came back so strongly. So this is 65-35 for Ausis. means Ausis has 65 chance for win.

Check the IPL stats for the 1st version. You will find Dravid name among the top 20 players (with 11 sixers and 35 fours).

So please read up on some cricketing stats. Instead of shooting off your mouth, it may be better to substantiate your claims.

IPL is not the be-all and end-all of cricket. Dravid has scored over 10000 runs in test cricket and at a healthy average of 50 . So, you should commit suicide for your lack of knowledge about the game.

He may not hit sixers like Dhoni or Yuvraj but if either would give their right arm to play 100 tests and match the consistency of Dravid but Dravid will not be losing his sleep for not being able to hit sixers!

Dravid can score 20 runs in an over without hitting a six. Though you should refresh last IPL series where he was only batsman in RC team scoring heavily and hitting sixes.

WISH VISHY
by RAVINDRA SITARAM on Feb 12, 2009 04:42 PM

I wish Sri G R Vishwanath many happy returns of the day. Let God bless him and his family Good Health, Wealth, Happiness,Prosperity and Success in all endeavors.

Vishy was one of my favourite cricketer, his self-less batting, working for the team, cool temperment and knowledge of the game are some of the hall-marks of this great player.

He is a true gentleman cricketer without any controversy. He enjoys the position of best batsman both on and off the field alongside other greats such as Sir Garifield Sobers, Clive Lloyd, Sir Don Bradman, Geoferry Boycot and our own all-rounder Sri Eknath Solkar.

Our present day players can get inspired these greats.

Good Luck Vishy, once again.
