vishy was one batsman who could play strokes those days. Though we were very young and there was no tv those days when he come sto bat we were all excited.. however he had a raw deal from the selectors

I am not disputing your statistics about his record as captain, but I was referring to his utility as of now.
He has been given so many chances is last one year and his performance has been pathetic, I repeat, pathetic.

This was evident during last year IP also. For national team , either only the best should be selected or player with future potential who are to be groomed should be selected.
Dravid qualifies for neither category.

By the way, your successful captain, relinquished Captaincy on his own, and a very young person, with a career of just 2 years accepted that added responsibility.
I dont what to call a person who shirks responsibility

THERE IS NO EXTRA MONEY FOR BEING CAPTAIN.
But by running away from captainship, he wanted to prolong his career, more matches, more money. more retainership (BCCI contract) payment

CRICKET IS USELESS
by rey tiger on Feb 12, 2009 03:24 PM  | Hide replies

Cricket is a time wasting game, where there are 10 players watching the ball on the field and 9 fellows sitting out side. Just looking out when they will get a chance. Countries like BRAZIL, ITALY, FRANCE, SPAIN, MEXICO etc dont like to play this game cause it is a waste of time and does not gain international recognation. It is just Indian people who like cricket cause they dont have any other work. There are only 10 countries playing cricket and most of them are also not fully intrested, the other countries like Canada, UAE are forced to play. I hope people agree with me and not criticize me....

Cricket is gentalmen's game, not like ugly football. Just watch T20-20 cricket championship if your country is providing the content or you may be able to see live on internet.

If u dont know the rules or can't able to play game, understand the wast resources on cricket from internet as u dont want to waste time on playing, just consider to have ability to know the game.

If u watch movie, how it is actor n actress plays the role and u sit and watching it.

If u watch football, same no of player plays and the funny part is refree also runs behind them, not only 1, 3 including line umpires.
While in cricket, 2 umpire just stands on ground and take decision. No yellow-red card and fouls.
