Who taught you to drink milk from your mother, soon after you were born?
1000 births are needed to realize Him. You need to go a long way.

Thanks....but no thanks. This is a different topic. My view is that man created God and not the other way around.

Do you think if NZ would be in good position to win this match then their batsman would accept light offer? They will play full 90 overs. Secondly match will start 30 minutes before to recover the wasted time.

This is where the captain's assesment comes in to play. There is a very clear risk/ reward trade off. 550 runs and 150-160 overs represent the best possible equilibrium. Definitely, it is not 616 runs and less than 130 overs.

"We heard it is going to rain. We wanted to declare quickly and get 600 runs on the board so we could have enough overs to bowl at New Zealand. Rain is always predicted. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Fingers crossed, we should get enough overs tomorrow," Yuvraj said.

You are entitled to your views. But, when you force it on others, this is what you will get.

May be when the lead was 500
Is he being too defensive? or giving a chance to his good friend Yuvraj?

Gambhir said in press conference yesterday that we will give them target of 600. It was planned. Thats why Dhoni continued inning after Yuvi got out yoday.

#1. Plz give me your usual statistics that justifies the late declaration.
#2. Gambhir is just echoing Dhoni's views; all team players atht give conferences (modern day style) will usually echo their capytain's
#3. Yuvraj and Dhoni were the batsmen at the end of 3rd day's play with india's lead of 531. So, a target of 600 means some space for Yuvraj- in a dead innings, not necessarily a dead match!

There is nothing wrong with that. these conferences are dull events, anyway, with the players being positive 9as against realistic) plus echoing the captain's views.
My point was more to say that it was indeed Dhoni's plan to keep going on an on...but then for what? that's the crucial question, we needs ansers.

Anurag...
With 1 hour delayed start(thanks to daylight savings adjustment) it is more likely that 70 to 75 overs per day will be played. 150 overs with 531 lead at the end of 3rd day gives a rate of 3.54

Dhoni is not fool like Ponting who gave enough time to SA for chasing 418 in 4th inning. Required run rate must be 3.5 in 4th inning. Dhoni did the same. 531 in two days(180 overs) is chasable.

Even at the end of 3rd day's play Yuvraj/ Dhoni took the bad light offer. With one hour delayed start, it is more likely to get the bad light earlier and NZ batsmen will take it. It is not likely that even 150 overs will be played on days 4 and 5.

Dhoni is a great cricketer. But it is too early to make him greatest captain.. India as a team is playing well now..and Dhoni is getting the fruits..His contribution as player is not so great compared to other players...I can't remember when Dhoni scored century in test/ODI/T20 last time...

all the the best Team India.

I feel there is nothing to learn from ganguly...better not to learn that what i will say to Dhoni.

The only thing he did to Indian cricket in his term is pace attack is improved ,the bench strength is improved. Mind it not Batsmen Strength as batsmen bench strength is always there.
In case if Ganguly was a primary bowler he would have improved the batsmen strength, then from 1-10th down all would be batsmen,11th would be himself and only reason is his a bowler. He don't want any competition for his place.

Ganguly is a bullshit guy he always want to cement his place in cost of others. He used dirty politics for his place in team in cost of other better performed players who don't have much support from respective selection panels.

Best Example is VVS LAXMAN ,he almost ruined his career.Every member in team and selection panel knows it.

This is what you want Dhoni to learn from ganguly.

there is rain forecast tomorrow so it might be to new zealands advantage, but the bottom line is new zealand has been outplayed in most of the series.
Saving a test match like the second is in itself a great success for india and we should really be thankfull to Gambhir for accelent batsmenship.
He has shown what test cricket batting is all about and truly deserves man of the series.
besides zahir and harbhajan were magnificient.
Well done boys.

i think indians are devotee's of winners in cricket.that's why india dominated newzealand cricket after they thrashed in 20-20's.thanks to smart cricket by men in blue.the shots from indian were devastating considering the fact that it is newzealand grounds since ball was travelling to boundaries like bullets in ak-47 gun.it will 2-0 in favour of india.good work from dhoni's boys.it was great exultation from indian players.i was really exuberant.
