Faul play only from our side.

Sehwag should be fined for what happened, But there are others to give clean chit? Actions like snatching the ball from Umpire's hands is acceptable, wasting 15 minutes on an issue untackled by third umpire is also OK! Giving decisions is also acceptable. The rules are same for everyone, no rules no game.

Sehwag getting fined
by kaushik on Jun 08, 2006 11:43 AM

After Rahul Dravid's abject capitulation to Brian Lara in the Dhoni incident to rub more salt Sehwag has got fined.

The Indian board should take this issue up with ICC and reaffirm ourselves.

Thanks Rahul your timidness is good as a batsmen but it shows us like the spineless team of the old.

shhwag fined

sir, no doubt he appealed, but considering that LARA has been let off, after asking DHONI to leave the field and the drama ......it is not fair at all

Discrimination not on
by Anand on Jun 08, 2006 11:24 AM

This is not the first time ICC has been inconsistent in applying itself right on the code of conduct front. When Jeff Crowe can fine sehwag for excessive appealing, how did Lara go scot free for showing dissent during the Dhoni dismissal. Does this by anychance mean jeff crowe was dozing away to glory in the box afer a few shots of carribean rum? The ICC Panel comprises of bunch of jokers who have got into this habit of making a fool out of themselves in the international arena and run this sport body like a "LALA COMPANY".

Why not Lara
by Srivatsan on Jun 08, 2006 11:23 AM

Was Sehwag's offence any greater than Lara's?
Then how come Lara gets go scot free?
This is not fair the Indian team management should appeal against this!!!

What about punishing the Windies Captain who also played a role of Umpire
by Mahamood on Jun 08, 2006 11:17 AM

Well! If Sehwag is punished for over appealing and breaching some blah blah laws, what was Windies Captain doing when he sent back Dhoni from the ground by deciding he was out and moreover the umpires and the fielder himself were not sure of the catch. So why not some punishment to Brian Lara. Double Standards!!!

Fine for appealing
by Abhishek on Jun 08, 2006 11:10 AM

Look at the way ICC behaves differently towards different players. Lara was not even summoned or even reprimanded for his behaviour and other one was fined straight away. This is called partisan victamisation at its worst.
