Fine on Sehwag
by JAYESH RAJENDRA MANKAD on Jun 08, 2006 03:06 PM

Why only Sehwag was fined????

What about Lara who misbehaved with umpire on getting out wrongly on 4th day. DHoni was asked by Lara to walk out though he was not out and final decision was ambiguous..

No charges on Lara on that by referree or it was a biased decision?? Chappel and Dravid should oppose that decision of fine on Sehwag !!!!!

How is it that Lara's snatching of the ball from the umpire is perfectly ok and in the spirit of the game, while sehwag is fined for over appealing? The match refree, in this instance, let Lara off the hook citing lack of evidence?!

This incident once again higlights how Indians are always at the wrong end of the stick. Had it been Ganguly who had done what Lara did, a two match suspension would have been declared by now.

What about Lara then?

This is just too good to be true.
Sehwag is fined for excessive appealing? And what action was taken against Lara for showing dissent seen clearly on live television and photographs? Is it the Asian community which is always targetted for chuckings and stupid fines? Don't these fines and punishments relate to the other countries?
How could any match referee or umpire leave the issue of lara's dissent undisturbed?
Can anybody let me know what this should be called?

Fine on Sahwag
by Amit Pareek on Jun 08, 2006 02:43 PM

It happend again, Another Indian player fined, don't we feel that this become regular with Indian players. I don't understand the standard of ICC for code of conduct for players. They can let Lara go with out any fine for his rude behaviour but they can fine Sahwag for just excessive appealing.

If Sehwag can be fined for excessive appealing, the Lara deserves to be suspended for the manner of his behavior over the Dhoni dismissal incident.

Is the player appelleing and celebrating for the amount of hard word that he puts up is punishable then the lara's behaviour. I fail to understand why the match refree did not find anything wrong with the brian lara's attitude the other day. Its pity that these petty issues comes under so much of scrutiny. Its high time that ICC frames such dubious rules properly

How can match refree fine Sehwag for excessive appealing not Lara for showing disrespect to the umpires. This is nothing but bias decisions against asian cricketers.

Sehwag fined for over-appealing

Sehwag was fined for over-appealing, but why is Lara going scott free who actually grabbed the ball from the umpire and asked Dhoni to leave the ground?? Lara was worried that Dhoni is going to hit 6 sixers in 6 balls or wot?? Food for thought. *Think*

It is unfortunate that Sehwag was fined for over appealing and no action has been taken against LARA who has openly defied the Umpires ruling and kept on argueing. ICC and the refrees are for sure Anti India
