congress rules in major states - maharashtra, goa, andhra, karnataka(president's rule), tamil nadu, delhi, haryana, j&k

bjp rules in major states - gujarat, rajasthan, MP, chattisgarh, bihar, punjab, uttarakhand

looks like bjp is ruling on an average in more backward states of india.

Boldness pays
by Kumar on Dec 24, 2007 09:27 PM  Permalink

Instead of giving up a moral hight ground and supporting the corrupt 'rebel leaders', the BJP leadership struck with the corruption free and bold leader Mr. Modi. The BJP rebel leaders who were as corrupt as the Congressi leaders lost the elections whereas the honest Modi won. Going forward all the political parties should support corruption free leaders and not give way to the loud and vociforous corrupt leaders who switch parties, are boot lickers, claim to represent only a few castes and fight the elections as 'rebels', on being denied the party ticket. Any party/leader that loves India should support corruption free, development minded, ethical leaders like Mr. Modi. Gujarat leads, India follows, and I am not even a Gujarati but I still say this.

its dravidian politics in TN, dalit politics in UP and Bihar and communal politics in Gujarat. Congress is a loser since these kind of politics has come in these regions. nore that dravidian politics started in 60s in TN after which congress has never come to power there, same will be true in gujarat also now. till a congress leader emerges who is able to break the shackles of regional politics and cut across religious, caste and north-south lines, the situation will remain the same.

gentle men look back in time.
In gujrat Hindu Muslim riots were started By Congress CM Mr Chiman Bhai Patel.

KHAM ( Kashtriaya / Harijan/ Adivasi / Muslim) Vote bank was masterminded by Mr Madhav Singh Solanki.

Congress id Doctrate in Vote Bank Politics and BJP is still at Under Grad level.

Also note this time WHO opposed MODI >>

RSS as well as VHP and many other Hardliner Hindu out fits and MODI gave a Damn to them.

This clearly shows MODI has carved a way out to work without VOTE BANK POLITICS.

If he survives militant attacks as well as Congress art of Breaking BJP ( Vagela style)

Than Gujrat will give a new way out to whole of Indian Public to emulate.

Moderate Muslims in Gujrat are doing fine.
They are educating their children and sending them to good schools.

Muslim boys are not at all loitering on the streets , they are working as hard as any one else.

Muslim Girls are equally well competing in the schools.

This is my preception from the feedback I get from Son & Daughter.

I believe Gujrat Muslims will show a pathway for rest to follow.

Jaffer , Let me answer that question for you with out BAIS . The answer in Gujarat is a big no . Modi did not oppose the Muslims, for him they remained irrelevant ! No Muslim Candidate from the BJP , No devolopment in Muslim areas , no agenda for Muslims.
In 2004 under Vajapee and may the late Pramod Mahajan the BJP tried to win Muslim votes. You know what happened the Muslims trashed the NDA and they lost power.
On a different note do you beleive that the Congress supports Muslims ? If you do let me tell you they dont ! They want your votes and that too when that is big enough to win. In Gujarat they also played what the media has admitted was soft Hindutva.
Finally there is this cliche of Divide and Rule that the British practiced ! Historically when were the Hindus and Muslims of this sub- continent ever united that the British needed to divide. We were divided and the British merely used that division to thier advantange.
All politics is vote bank politics .... and the only one who was not into this was Mahatma Gandhi.

Bloody English Media
by Ravi Kumar on Dec 24, 2007 09:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In the past 2 months, the english media has blown issues out of proportion regarding Modi. They were desperate to see him lose. Now they lost their face. For example, the Times of India is so shamelessly pro-congress that I stopped reading that paper. the ToI editorial says freedom of speech is important but taslima nasreen should not have hurt the sentiments of muslims. I wonder why they didn't say the same thing when MF Hussain hurt the sentiments of hindus.

I do not approve of the riots that took place in gujarat. they were a shame on Indian democracy. Killing any one no matter his/her religion is a horrible thing to do. The trauma that the families undergo will make everyone cry. But the english media never projects the same hatred against congress sponsored riots or against communist sponsored nandigram. they say that these are different issues.

It is exactly this double standards that force me to support the BJP (even though I wish they started respecting Muslims as any other citizens of this country.)

The commie journos can't go to Muslim countries and preach becasue they do not get the lavish lifestyle and freedom to abuse.

Phukat ka daaru, phukat ka paise, aur kya kya, kisko patta? Wahan gaaye to ghulami karni padegi. yahan se karo, kisi ki paise pe aish bhi kaaro.

I liked your suggestion about changing the name of their news paper. There is one more from south India. A leading name published from Chennai - that also may require a change of name...

By Deep Thinker,

Just because Modi has won Gujarat elections, it will be foolish for BJP to think that they would win National Elelctions. Understood that MP, Chattishgarh Govts are not doing well under their government. They do not have Modi like, non corrupt Development oriented CMs in other states. They are all like any other Congress led CMs. BJP need to bring Modi like CMs in all the states they rule. They could have retained, Uma Bharati & Kalyan Singh like leaders. It is good for BJP, so long as Sonia & Rahul rule Congress as they do not have real ability.

Many people in India consider their religion first and country second . Those people dont deserve to live here. This country is the property of Indians for whome country comes first and religion later.

Hello Stav, Regarding your point that if USA gives Green Card, 90% of the population go away from India. Do you know why? Because USA is secular in the true sense. There are no reservations in the name of caste, minorities etc. One has the freedom to follow any religion, but laws are the same for everyone. There are no personal laws. The vote-bank politics are not as rampant and shameless as in India. A congressman or senator puts the development of his constituency/state first above party politics (no touching the feet of leaders like Sonia and Rahul). Politicians and government servanats are relatively honest - if a person is corrupt, the law will catch him sooner or later. One does not get away with drunken driving and killing people because he is a film star. If a person is willing to work , he or she will be successful.
