the best street food at cheapest prices is available at Himachal Sweet House, South Moti Bagh Market (Opp. Mother dairy), New Delhi. This is basically sweet shop which serves a yummy breakfast of chole-puri on sunday mornings (only). The puris are filling (the oil is good) and the chole is excellent (unlimited) like home made, very less spicy and no oil!! along with which comes a onion spicy salad. prices for Rs. 12/- a plate after which you can relish a small dose of jalebis for Rs. 5/- plus a cup of tea for Rs. 2/- (still saves Rs. 1). You can also try his samosas (Rs. 3/- per piece) which is excellent and available 24X7. the crust is thin and the filling is yum!! wont cause a heartburn. A must have!!!!

the mysterious white stuff is a mixture of hummus and garlic paste (garlic & olive oil)
Tucked away in the corner of the New Friends Community Center market, is a place called Al-Bake. For Rs.20, you can have their version of a "Shawarma", which is a lebanese dish. It is basically a roll filled with Chicken(Some say its dog meat, some rat meat!!!Take your own guess!), and with a mysterious white substance which tastes heavenly. It is served with the famous mint chutney. The place does not stand out among all its peers in the same locality. However, the food especially the Shawarmas, are a class apart from the ones served elsewhere in the area. They are'nt too big, but sure taste good. But all in all, for Rs. 20, it is worth it. Its become so popular, that now they have two counters for only Shawarmas. Its become hard to find a place to sit even these days. After a couple of drinks at the various adjoining pubs and bars, this is the perfect place to hit to satiate those hunger pangs!
