hey,the moral police labels kissing in public as indecent n obscene, but what about the people who use lewd gestures and remarks to harass women in public, wouldn`t it be better if the police first used their power to ensure safety of women and maintain decency in public by taking care of such people, rather than going after couples, who are actually not harassing anyone. this seems to be just an excuse by the so called moral police to shirk from their real duties and just create another controversy.
Well its right as concern our culture and moral, but in my opinion this is rediculous coz here having place for a older, children ppl but no place for a couples. Couples tried to express there feeling by little kiss or hug... thats wrong when cross the limit by doing such thing at public place.. But govt always oppose the love couples.. then give them also such facility rather imposing such restrictions.
I think, no fine is go to stop this illegal(its either kissing or any other such behaving between unmarried persons, ofcourse married couples may not behave like...)one's but its better to take an immediate action by the people who are feels uneasy and, hate that things arround that place. Its too better that the governament to take an action upon this type of illicit atleast one year prison as killing act of Indian culture.
They say "A kiss is a seal of Love" Ohhhh....Comeon..... isn't it enough, where is this thing going to take us now. If anybody is having a problem with people kissing, they can just turn their face around to another side and let it go, like matured and civilised adults. Guys, go and moral police the corrupt government officials or the politicians who are staging dharna's and bandh's. Why are you targeting people, who are trying to spread "LOVE". Dear Mr.Politician, if you even have the heart, which I surely doubt, take time and smell the roses, and people who are supporting these stupid ban's on the pretext of Indian Culture, keep in mind that, Indian culture is far beyond your reach and it is not your property for which you can fight for. Indian culture, is one of the most tolerant cultures ever known to the world. Even the people smooching are indians and they know their cultures. And if they are wrong somewhere then it is the right of their parents to teach them, not any so called self declared improvement brigade. And last but not the least, donot pour water on someone else's house, when your own house is on fire. Guys and Gals, don't worry "LOVE WILL FIND IT'S WAY".
I think, this whole thing abt fining people when kissing is simply outrageous! Come, on, there are several other issues which the politicians can take seriously and help India come forward!! Talk abt spitting on roads, smoking in public places, corruption at government offices etc!! These are the issues which needs to be taken care off and act more sternly towards them!!
Moral(adj): sanctioned by or operative on one's conscience or ethical judgment The bottomline is - what is moral cannot be policed. There is no scope for moral policing in a civil, advanced society. Unfortunately, even while our country is growing in every sphere and becoming strong economically, it is also turning increasingly fundamentalist. This is the only thing that can stop India's meteoric rise. A few people are trying to drag us backwards and trying to turn our society into a restrictive and fundamentalist one. And all this is done in name of culture and values. Can we ask....whose values? whose culture? The entire country cannot be driven by the whims and fancies of a few self-styled culture guardians. Once you start imposing morals and values, they are no longer morals and values. They are bondages imposed to check your freedom of thought and expression. Every society changes with time. You can't coerce a society into conducting itself in a particular way. Even if you somehow succeed in doing it, you will only end up with a subdued, backward, and frustrated mass of people that you call society. Hail Culture!
Parks, public places in general, were never meant to be places to indulge in carnal acts. Instead they were places to organize meetings, to take a walk, to hold a public function, to act as a platform for a decent gathering, to act as a playground for tots. So if we are changing the fundamental identity of these public places and converting them into corridors towards Red Light Areas, shouldnt we be ready to expect the worst; many eyes staring at us, making a show out of our love and expecting us to perform more.
