This is not first time happend in the past also the same things happend, the BCCI in not bouthered to object/bring such things to the notice of the ICC , which is bad they should protest such things in future.
well that right they are openly supporting the home country i.e. west indies, andone more thing how many time gale was give not out, well every rules come into picture if that is with india, well sewhag give them the reply with the bat.
this not a unique incident. in past lso there have been incidents where match refree has penalized indian players very harshly compared to players of other countries. and nothing has been done for this. but i m happy to c that somebody has atleast raised the voice against it
Lara should have been fined for his behaviour, as he snatched the ball from the umpire. Whatever be the time taken, the decision whether Dhoni was out or not had to be given by the umpires only and not Lara.He may be a great player ,but his hehaviour in the incident is quite unwanted.
Match Refree is not biased against India but are Impotant Duds who could not muster courage to take action against Lara in West Indies. How else can you describe Shameless defence of Lara by ICC's Official Spokesperson. The Match Refree is also aware of the Lara's clout and ACC's impotance to take action against Lara and is team in West Indies. Thus they need their job even at the cost of their Integrity and Honour, if at all they have.
In the olden days, particularly most of the black players thought they are being treated differently. There are instances for this. 1. Sachin, Sehwag and other Indian players were fined for excess appeal in a match South Africa --Referee was White. 2. Azharuddin, Mano Prabhakar and Ajay Jadeja got punishment of not involving in issue related to Cricket for their involvement in Match-fixing. But no action was taken against Shane Warne and Mark when there are clear evidences of match fixing against them are available. If BCCI had also let the Indian players to play and participate in cricket, the ICC which is ruled by whites (unofficially) would have made it an issue. Coming to the present situation, ICC is supporting or did not take action against Lara, though TV and other media clearly showed that he snatched the ball from Rauf and also wagged finger. The reason could be Lara is great player and sometimes people lose temper. But this is not the way of treatment. Also that the West Indies would host 2007 World Cup. There is no doubt that ICC would have acted differently if any Indian player involved in such incident.
Everytime things do not go our way, we Indians crib and whine. If the Match refree did not "see" things the way we thought was correct, let's forget it and get on with the game. And our Indian cricket team the so called men in blue, the demigods of this century need a little more application and a little less whining.

Dude!
This is not only the views of indian fans but also the view of commentators and Michale Holding. And think what could have happened if sourav ganguly done the same thing as lara, he will be suspended for min of 3 ODIs and 2 tests and substantial fine. If australia or any other white people done this then it would be described as "Be Honest always". But why only indians targetted is India is submissive not as aggressive as it was on DADA's tenure
It seems the ICC has got a varied set of rules and regulations when it comes to matches in which India and in some cases Pakistan are involved. Over the past we have seen umpteen instances when for trivial reasons our players are pulled up, fined and had the whole rule book thrown at them, whereas players from Australia, England and now West Indies are let off the hook!!!! The notable point is that the ICC (and their authorised representatives) have the gall to justify their points in such cases. Lara's is a wonderful case to point. In no circumstance, regardless of how frustrated a player is, it does not justify him snatching the ball from the umpire! Yet the ICC does just that...speaking on behalf of Brian Lara!!! Must be bcoz they are spooked by his demi-god status there!!! Though apartehid has been officially abolished in the world, the ICC still practices it with impunity. It is high time our BCCI takes up the cudgels in this matter, otherwise we will have to have our noses rubbed in the dirt in every instance.
The problem with we Indians are that we are Gandhian and ready to offer another cheek to take a slap. This is the reason why I appreciate fighter like Subhashchandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh and his gangs. Its not that the players has to to fight the real fighter is out Cricket Boards who are lease bothered about what is happening with the player. Being one of the richest nation and earning more on cricket, still we are always looser to the ICC and to their officials.
So Indian players take all the shit from the ICC, but do perform and if they deduct your match fee, think you are giving a donation to the ICC, wherein you will be benefited for the tax.
