No use complaining that Brahmins were in large numbers in the Civil Service, in Medical Legal and other professions. This happened because Brahmins took to Western Education before others, and not because they suppressed other communities. The white employer selected the qualified people. Then used the situation to divide the people. It is foolish to call oneself backward instead of working hard. Hurting poor Brahmin priests and abusing them will not remove the self-styled backwardness. There is merit in all communities, perhaps not the willingness to work hard.

You are right. While other communities were busy fighting against British Rule Brahmin Forsee the future is western education and use the british education system to develop themselves.
Rather than fighting against British they worked hard with British & assisted them in ruling the country.
If other communities have done the same they would have also came up in life but the country would have not liberated from British rule.
But today the situation is even if you have merit and best education you cannot simple come up in life because all the top people are brahmin and will let only their people to grow.
Brahmin's sweat is more valuable than other's blood.

Wish you read history more clearly...in a free society everybody has the right to compete and win...if you dont have the necessary competence ..then you go with devils advocates like periyar who purveyed to the society with what it wanted ...an excuse to be incompetent.....If you are cribbing even under todays situation where opportunity is immense ...I believe it is because of your incompetence.......

the competence is depends on the individual background. in that case brahmins have the highest adavantage of having excellent education background by birth

By birth in the sense educated parents and lineage. Which other people dont have - Ex Abdul Kalam
Chess Master V. Anand who is current No:1 in the world rankings father was a high ranking official and should his grand father too.
When compared between two. Anand certainly has a great adavantage by birth

He is a Bania i know very well. I dont want to break the heart of Subbu. Who has included him in the list.

Yes Subbu they have the capability of manipulating things - there may be many who has let their life for the country. But it is the brahmins who were considred the most patriotic and others contribution is meagre.
The Rao Bahadur, Sir titles which were given to british patrons for their loyalty to them is carried by many brahmins.
I have great respect for Subramania Bharathi and Gandhi whom i look beyond their religion. These are few individual Brahmins fought for freedom and mostly followed by non-brahmins.
But as a community their contribution to freedom is unaware

That time few people worked with British & enjoied their life. Now some people are working with MNC's & enjoing their life then what is the difference. Humenbeing is a selfish creature for all the time. There is no question of cast Human being sees their safety & comfort level only.

good point. "this happened because Brahmins took to Western Education before others, and not because they suppressed other communities. The white employer selected the qualified people. Then used the situation to divide the people. " same is true with all FC indians all over India. otherwise who was studying in a medical school or an egineering school in mughal times or before.
