Beauty pagent and Miss world contest held and sponsered by MNCs selling beauty products will decided who should be the next Miss World. This depend on where they can market their new ideas and oodies and where the 'purchase power' lies. Likewise there is a lot of lobbying goes behind these Nobel prices. See who all got Nobel Peace prices? In anyway, If an Indian (Real Indian) who lives and educated here gets it, we can all be proud of it.

Persons with anti- Indian heart should not get Noble prize . The noble Prize winner should have Indian heart and neead not be Indian resident or Indian. If the persons who want to make India weak with their arguments like "India should decrease its defence budget and army" should not get noble prize . If such person gets Noble prize there is no meaning in feeling Proud.

Why can't you be proud of an Indian living abroad, receiving the Nobel? No doubt, there's a lot of lobbying politics which decide the ultimate award but we tend to overlook one very important thing- one needs to do something exceptional just to be nominated. I've had the privilege of meeting Mr Bhagwati in person wen he flew down from the states for my college convocation. He's as normal and down to earth as anybody- the only stand out factor is that his brain is better than most's. I've also read Avinash Dixit's work on game theory and I believe he should've got the nobel a long time ago. Does it really matter if they aren't residing in India? Plus they aren't being nominated for the Nobel for public work, so where does the question of doing something for the country's poor arise from?

I am not at all averse to an Indian living abroad getting it but I said I will be proud if it a person living here in India. See the reason is that with limited facilities our country offers comparing to other developed countries, it is a herculian task to get one who lives here. That is the only reason. Won't you be happy if your brother gets a price rather than your neighbour? It is just natural.
