Congratulations to P.V. Sindhu on her achievement at Rio Olympics 2016. She is the first Indian woman to win a silver at Olympics. Sindhu with her silver medal single handedly lifted India by 11 positions from 78th to 67th place. Way to go!
The Government of Telangana have to be commended for acknowledging and felicitating India's star athlete at Rio Olympics 2016. It is really heart warming to see the kind of honour and affection the Government of Telangana and people of Hyderabad are bestowing on P.V. Sindhu. I hope this will inspire many youngsters to aspire and achieve sporting excellence.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh too deserve commendation in equal measure for their recognition of Sindhu's achievement. Government of Madhya Pradesh as well announced a cash award of Rs. 50 lakhs to Sindhu. This is great leadership from CM Shri. Shivraj Singh Chaouhan.
But what is appalling is the attitude of Central government. They announced a cash award of Rs. 50 lakhs which is really a bare minimum. No honour or award or recognition for Sindhu is forthcoming from the Govt. of India. This is in stark contrast to enthusiastic showering of awards and recognition on Saina or Sania. Sindhu was not even given the honour of carrying Indian flag at the closing ceremony. It is as if Sindhu never happened for GOI.
Petty mindedness of central government on display in contrast to mature leadership of state govts. This is certainly not the way to go for a Federal Government.
GUys simple no discussion.... If she is getting money for her silver win.. let her get atleast.. Even if all cry in all social media about farmer dying and no food for them.. nothing gona happens.. So lets celebrate her win and make all more strong in getting awards in Olympic..Chak de india chak de
gopichand should be the happiest person. more than sindu i recon. After a long training under Gopichand, Saina reached No 2 in the world ranking and also won a bronze in olymbics. suddenly she ditched him saying that he is unable to train her properly and mover over to vimal kumar. Now in olymbics in the first round she was thrashed to the ground by a distant 61st seed. I am sure that sight would have please gopi more than pv sindh's silver. I am reminded of a old MGR Tamil song ' people who kick the ladder after climbing. thats the lesson life teaches them'

Boss, she did not do that Gopi Chand was engaged in getting the next ring ready, so she took to Vimal
You know every normal international cricketer earns more every year compare to what sindhu got it now. So I dont think its very high. She and Gopichand deserves every penny.
These useless, worthless & shameless politicians are always running after cheap publicity. Yes, we are very happy for Sindhu, but instead of improving standard of sports in india, they will announce lump sump monetary reward for sindhu & matter will be closed. These brainless even don't know why every year why farmer & poor peoples are dying because of drought & flood. They even don't know why a rickshaw puller is getting so less even after working so hard & criminals like salman are free even after killing innocent & lying. Totally crumbled system full of corruption & shameless peoples. Well done Gopichand & Sindhu, we are proud both of you.

Well Said my friend. A large number of people will over react to what you said at this juncture but the truth is after all truth.
For players 5 Crores, 1000 yards Land, Jobs and what not. But farmers - Thenga. That is our democracy.
