Saina you are such a great player, You should just focus on playing the entire country is with you why are you behind the awards and that too you were forcing the govt to give you award.Enjoy your game and don't be like HAKLA Shah Rukh Khan who wants awards even for snizzing, be happy all the best.

The corrupt system made up of corrupt people like omar himself to be blamed. Today you need lobby for everything.. even his job didnot come to him based on the principle of merit. I am sure he lobbied or tried to get it. Atheletes have worked hard to reach were they are today and as born fighters nothing wrong in fighting for what they want. In todays world nothing comes to you automatically even if you deserve it. everything needs a fight. This is a system problem. Not the problem of the athelete.

Politician ruined
by Soumitra Goswami on Jan 07, 2015 10:08 AM

The awards which are of life time nature are now being given to sport persons at very minor age. As a result such unpalatable gestures from favourite sport persons are surfacing. They are getting rewards for their sporting encounters may not be adequate but national award of such nature should only be given after they give some return to fellow country men in the form of coaching or other philanthropic works mostly after maturing by adequate age. Politician ruined the sporting spirit by giving undeserving award like Bharat Ratna and others who have otherwise attained enough boon because of personal achievement. Such award should be given to people like Gopichand who are behind the success of sports.

Your are right Mr. Omar
by Jalal on Jan 07, 2015 10:02 AM  | Hide replies

These people are asking/demanding for honour! Actually the honour should come itself not by demanding or else they can buy it (Padma) like most of the film stars do. Actually the people who has dignity never demand for such things ie. Anandkumar of Super 30, the entire world has recognized him and his institution except Govt. of India, still no complaints from his part that's what call dignity. If one compare him with some (or most of recent) recent Padma award winners these people are big zero in front of him and lots of others who working tireless to improve the education and life of common man.

Jalal,
How much does that "dignity" and "honour" cost in monetary terms?

Bribe Omar and buy the Padma
by Ravi on Jan 07, 2015 08:40 AM

This will certainly work in India. Both Saina and Rajender will get 5 Padma awards if the paid amount is decent enough.

End of story.
