Does it not happen

I think such shameless patronizing of some powerful country happens every where. India should try first to attain that to avoid victimisation. But sport regulating body should punish hostile and cheats not such emotional outbursts. Will anybody agree on India boycotting the next major sporting event? We all are extremely selfish and hence such treatment and falls will go on.

I had seen that fight.
Sarita Devi had beaten her opponent black n blue. Her opponent was trying to running away from her in the ring throughout the fight.
But judges declared Sarita Devi a looser.

Now they are doubling the pressure by suspending Sarita Devi.
Its a shame that Indian Govt. is not supporting Sarita Devi.
Indians will be treated like toilet paper in future also because the It proves the govt. has no spine to protest such incidents. It has not much will to protect it's citizens.

Modi Ji... r u listening ?

Pethetic AIBA. Their refree take money to give Bias decision and then suspend if a true athlete stands against them and their injustice.

Shame on AIBA. It's the organisation such as AIBA which should be banned and suspended in the world.

why complain of bias by an international person. Northeaster people are attacked and ill-treated in India itself. We should first change our attitude towards north eastern people otherwise if this continues China will exploit them.

Wasim , two wrongs cannot make a right- just bcoz they are facing attacks is India, doesn't mean that they can be made scapegoats by foreign cheats

Two wrongs does not make one right !! A few black sheeps does not make the entire lot black !! Acts of bias against North-east folks are a few isolated incident and are acts of few sick minds and does not speak of a generic trend. The issue is not to be mixed with corruption in sport..

Be fair and professional AIBA... after all, those are humans.

Wish our nation had announced of never participating in the game in future instead of them suspending our pride Sarita (or rather our nation). It is very sad to accept such a shameful defeat. Surprising that none stood up. Wish no one ever participates. We salute you Sarita!!

AIBA seems to have lost its moral right…….
by adam smith on Oct 22, 2014 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

……. to hold such international events. Instead of investigating what went wrong with the judges who gave such biased results, it is punishing the sportsperson who was at the receiving end of a very bad decision!!

The whole world saw the biased result. What’s up, AIBA? Are you also a party to this biased decision?

How do you deal with judiciary when a judgement is not to our liking? Go in appeal,do not start abusing the judge. Her behaviour on the podium was disgraceful .Further,it diverted attention from injustice to her and focused on her behaviour. Our officials should have been more involved to calm her.

I agree with the emotions of hard working player but Sarita didn't learn sportsmanship.Leaving the medal behind is criminal in terms of sports,of course coaches are culprit who trained her to be winner not a good sportsperson.Come on Sarita get up and show your strength.

It is very easy for us (including me) who sit on our backs to judge everything based on sportsmanship. These athletes have given up their best time of their lives to reach to this level. So many sacrifices, hours of practice daily, extraordinarily strict regiments of diet and discipline to achieve what very people can do. We can never empathise what these athletes have gone through.
How can we let everything go in one word ‘Sportsmanship’. This is not like a regular job wherein if we do not get recognised in our current job, we look for other options. In this job of highly competitive games, they have only very limited events like the common wealth games, Olympics etc to display their hard earned efforts. By denying recognition is like destroying the person completely as this person may never have another opportunity to win in this event taking into account the time gap between such world events.
The Indian government must support their athletes. India churns out very few extraordinary sportspersons like Sarita (due to low investing in this area) and the least we can do is support them.
