Since poor Saritha wasfrom the North-East, many idiots are giving sermons about Sportsmanship. But, when Tendulkar lied and defended Monkey Harbhajan in Australia, it was great sportsmanship. Shame on idiots and Boxing officials.

no kuttyji, your comment is unfair. if you go through whole web sites in connection with sarita's refusal of bronze medal, it will reveal that she really enjoys overwhelming support from the people across the country. we the Indians still stand firm behind saritaji and we are proud of her actions and reactions.

refusal of medal by sarta and wrong message to youngstars

may be but I fully support her. it is very easy to comment sitting in drawing room but one should consider puting him/ her in her position at that time. surprised, noting is talked about or no criticism is there for the officials of BOXING FEDERATION OR INDIAN OLYMPIC ASSN. it looks you support them as well.all these officers and members should be banned for contesting elections and controlling any sports bodies. can one not file a PIL to suspend these officials. Stand for justice
by an ak on Oct 03, 2014 12:09 PM

This incident will make the youngesters to also know that one should stand and fight for the justice in the right spirit and Sarita has done that. So, hearty congratulations for her great efforts and showing her pain and agony. I am not sure as an ordinary citizen what can I do until the top notch people of our country take this matter into their heart and provide a solid support to Sarita. She deserves it. To be honest, I expect the honourable PM, Modisaab to give his statements or atleast instruct the Sports Minister to support Sarita in her endeavour. Else, if we do not do it now, let me assure you, we will continue getting bogged down by external force in every aspect of our life. Come on India, please do something for this. We are all waiting to hear.

When the corrupt official becomes bias in an huge event like asian games how could hard working sports person could perform. They have been toilling all there career just for shake of winning medals. But , we must also count on those official who organised and make judgement during the course of the game is also unsporting. Losing or winning is part of the sport but what how the those judges who manipulate the games in front of all the millions spectators? Are not they the one who create Sarita's behaviour. Official behaviour can create wrong ideas to the youngster beside youngster will develop fear to play against any host team. Any body can express their ideas and views but Sarita give a reminders to the organisors of the sports..not repeat such things in future.

Sarita's Behavior
by vijay vedantam on Oct 03, 2014 10:48 AM

Can we think of a better way to handle the delicate situation if and when they arise in future ? There is a need for a more proactive approach by the Indian officials ( they should have lodged the protest at the right time). This might have made a difference in this sensitive situation. Systems, processes and people should be put in place to ensure that such unfortunate incidents do not recur in future. This is the least that the nation can do for its sportsperson .

sarita,s behaviour
by malayendu das on Oct 02, 2014 10:52 PM

no doubt her behaviour was un sportsman like but we must consider no support she got from the IOA and BOXING FEDARATION OF INDIA and they were conspicous in their absence and had gon for enjoyment. further she had to borrow money for lodging protest. should we the gen public ask for throwing them and request govt not to allow any of them ever to be considered for acccepting them in any sports administration. can get a PIL FILED FOR THAT. Sarita's behaviour

Such comments are made by those heartless people not feeling the horrid time Saritha was made to pass through on account of the apathy shown at Asiad. If it were the cases of the kins of these cynics, would they have made such irresponsible comments. Saritha deserves appreciation while her protests will certainly go a long way to upgrade the fool-proof system in coming international sporting events so that such incidents would not recur. Well done Saritha, we the people at large in India stand by you!
