she is correct and behavior is normal. if people who do not protest or like protest are from slave blood no one can help why she has to bear unjust for sake of others. youngster should take inspiration to protest more loudly then sarita. we born in free country and in free environment it the right way if some psycho or slave blood think........ke log kaya sochenge then it is up to their level........she is 100 percent correct

@dev dahiya: Yep, everyone feels the same, the agony and frustration.

But there are certain things like Grace and Humility.. Two wrongs don't make a right, do they?

@Mike Teflon

Your statement about two wrongs implies Sarita's action is wrong. It simply isn't.

Your statement about Grace and Humility is also mis-placed in this context. Did Sarita stomp up and down and yell and scream? Did she fling the bronze medal? Did she boast pompously?

I don't know if you are aware of the enormity of the wrong that really happened there.

These sportspersons work hard for 3 to 4 years, making big sacrifices. They know well that missed opportunities for glory don't repeat frequently, like in cricket. (You lose Test series 5-0, and then win ODI series 4-1, all is forgiven and forgotten)

These sportspersons, and also the fans and sportslovers expect to see the triumph of skill, sportsmanship, and fighting spirit. Importantly, they also expect a fair and crime-free system. Is that too much too expect?

What happened was a blatant crime, in full recorded international public glare.

Given the enormity of that crime, Sarita's action was the epitome of grace and humility and restraint and sporting spirit and whatever else you may wish for.

The girl is a hero
by reemaa on Oct 01, 2014 10:52 PM

I am 100% with the decision the girl has taken and this should be a slap to all the indian officials gone with indian team just have a good outing and not raising the issue officially in a professional manner and backing the girl.

Judgement!
by mahesh bhatt on Oct 01, 2014 10:32 PM

I think who blame her do not know what is it like to be declared a looser even after winning the bout. The Indian officials did not support her as per her statement, so she expressed her resentment the way she did. Wrong judgements need extraordinary actions to be taken so that such things do not take place in the first place! I support her.
