India won 101 medals in CWG 2010 in Delhi with 38 golds and was in 2nd position after Australia. So 64 medals this time is 65% performance and it seems 35% extra performance was home advantage.
Australia also performed poorly in England ,their gold medal came down from 74 to 49.
Both India and Australia needs to work hard to improve. They should be able to dethrone England the king of the empire of commonwealth because it is far to long time since those colonial days.
I still have memories of the huge fiasco of the last CWG at Delhi due to a man named Suresh Kalmadi. No scams in Scotland - goes to show the difference between a developed and developing country. There is nothing to be proud of this performance. India finished second in the last edition - in this edition they should have been in the top three. Overall medals count has decreased from previous games.

In fact, I believe it's an insult to all countries except England, that they have to participate in these so-called common wealth games. England is trying to tell the world that all these countries were its s1aves in the past. We, as Indians, should take the initiative and stop participating in these games.

very true. In spite of being the true slave and prisioner if USA does not participates in this game, why should India?
Hearty congrats to all the medal winners for India. It is fair if weightages are given for gold, silver and bronze to give overall positions instead of just placing them as per Gold wins

arranging the tally according to golds won is the best way as far as i'm concerned. remember, the gold medal winner/s have actually won that particular event and the others came up short, yet couple of them are awarded medals in recognition of their achievement.
We are proud at the achievement of our athlets and sport person. Kudo to all of the medal winners for India. Instead of positioning with no of golds to be counted, it is better to give weightage for gold, silver and bronze to place the ranks in the tables in all the tournaments to give fair weightage. I feel that it is fair and hope to relook at the medal positions based on the weightages
